Funnily enough my lads footy team hand them out to all the kids at half time, during footy tournaments for that reason.

That's because the pockets of a suit jacket generally aren't meant to be used. They are there for aesthetic reasons. You could open them (if they are physically present) up but then you risk stressing the seems and deforming the jacket. If they are present they also aren't calculated to carry bigger things; at most credit cards or such (slim stuff). So to prevent deforming.

North terminal at Gatwick Airport, for so long vastly better than the South terminal, has recently taken a huge step backwards in customer service... check-in desks removed and replaced with self-service check-in terminals. That's right, they have got rid of all the check-in staff and now the tasks that used to form the wage-earning part of somebody's day are carried out by the passengers. That will teach me for flying with easyjet.

Oh Grouch I feel your pain. My area of the States has about 1/2 the people who have fog lights using them as extra headlights and oncoming traffic be damned.
Recently saw so many idiots using them during a snow storm ffs. Wish they'd just introduce a law here banning the use for anything but fog.
