Minor things that make you happy

I’ve been chasing a solicitor for some documents for months now following a personal injury and had sent loads of emails etc. but I was just being ignored.

I emailed them again today being all titty and telling them I’d send the email again every day until they responded, also threatening them with going higher up the managerial ladder and reporting them to the insurance ombudsman.

I got a reply within the hour.

I'm having hell trying to get documents to help sort out tax I'm owed. Glad you're sorted.

I’ve got a t-shirt with a pic of the shirt and “all I want for chritmas” written on it . I tried to explain to a barmaid in the states once , I didn’t get far.

Just had a little thank you card popped through the door by a lady across the road from me.
Thanking me for getting out of bed at two in the morning the other day when her alarm went off and checking her house out.
I can only imagine a curtain twitcher saw me and told her when she got back from her break.

Got an allotment a couple of weeks ago and have had a couple of days to off work so had the opportunity to really get stuck in. Lots of hard work getting it straight but it's a really peaceful way of getting away from everything. Just seeing it come together slowly, bit by bit is really satisfying.

How's your allotment coming on ?

When her indoors goes to look after daughter's cats while they are on holiday. I take her in a quarter of an hour. lol

Two young lads in their late teens jumped off the bus to help an older woman whose car had broken down and needed a push away from the central reservation.

When I pulled over to see if she was okay, she was trying to give them money and they both laughed it off and waltzed off. I offered them a lift but they wouldn't.

Great to see some good eggs full of civic pride and responsibility.

the youth of today get some hard press but to be fair there are plenty of genuine youngsters about who do this kind of thing
