Which city if you don’t mind me asking?
I went on exchange to Bamberg (northern Bavaria) twenty years ago.

Would love to get back there someday

It’s in Fürstenfeldbruck, about half an hour out from Munich on the train. Going to be staying in Munich for a few days in August, revisiting some of the places I remember from four years’ worth of exchange trips I made doing my GCSEs and A-Levels. Added bonus is that the Unterhaus, a proper ‘earthy’ little place is still going too. It’s going to be emotional, messy, then emotional again! 🤣👍🏻

I must admit from time to time I check to see if my favourite doener kebab place is still there. And it still is after all these years
 
Driving on the Chester high road earlier when I came across a man in a Jaguar doing 50 in the outside lane with nobody in front. After sitting behind him for a few minutes I flashed him once.

Of course, he immediately sparked in to life. He tapped his brakes a couple of times before moving over a lane and then went from 50 to 65 in a second. He then swerved back across to avoid rear ending a HGV. I couldn’t be arsed with yet another fragile ego causing an accident so I passed him on the inside and managed to put a few cars between us. I could see him in my mirror swerving all over the road trying to get close to me again. Bet he was utterly gutted his shiny SUV got seen off by a 1.6L medium sized van.

Fairly sure he caused a big argument with his unimpressed girlfriend and ruined his own day all by himself. Lovely stuff.
 

Not really a minor thing, but didn't know where else to put it!

Just got a call from a good friend's wife and after 3 years he just woke up from a coma!(Got into a horrific wreck). To say she was teary on the phone would be an understatement! Their were times in these past 3 years where we did not think he would ever wake and were talking about end of life types of things.

Just plain awesome! Has 2 kids and was/is a very well liked history teacher. Hopefully after some time he can get back to teaching again.

Going to see him up in Salem, Massachusetts just as soon as I can!
