Radio 4 for me was.I like listening to the shipping forecast although I'm not a fisherman. It's never changed much since I was a kid with those romantic names - Fitzroy, Dogger, Trafalgar, Rockall etc - and the thought of all those hardy chaps in oilskins tuning in to Radio 4 of an evening. I wonder if they take in The Archers as well.
"Ooh skipper looks like Ambridge village hall won't be ready for the nativity play."
"Damn and blast it......."
Long may it continue!Radio 4 for me was.
Leg it back from the Match for Sports Report 5.00pm Sat
Everybody else still in bed, I'd get up and read read all the papers then listen to(a repeat?) of Letter from America 9.15am Sun. Followed by The Archers Omnibus edition
I agree with you on that point wind is so loud.Walking along the beach and not getting blown to bits or ending up with sand in me pockets, roll on milder weather.
Slightly tipsy on a bus back from Bath to Briz, and wondering what the hell I'm gonna do for scran, she phones and says 'I really fancy an Indian, do you want some? I'll go and get it"
This is not usually how these evenings play out.
They’re probably wondering who you are and where you’re taking them … and what your plans are when you get thereLong car journeys with the kids that used to be a nightmare now generally pass quickly with them nattering away to eachother in the back. Love listening in to their random conversations
