I think he's a confidence player (which RM has destroyed) when he's in and out of the side (or getting the odd 10 minutes) he tries too hard to make things happen and tends to lose his head,which leads to red cards and taking on chances when if he kept his composure he would make assists.

Hey thats brilliant. How many were converted?

The derby just gone summed him up for me. Two great runs followed up with shanking shots into the crowd. he is not a regular starter for Belgium and has not been a regular starter for either Moyes or Martinez. There is a reason for that.

Hes fine dont get me wrong, can do a job etc but hes not great or anything. I think a big issue with him is not knowing quite where to play him.

What does it matter?

Have we created 61 chances throughout the side since he was unceremoniously dumped?

Yep. The reason being he competes with de bruyne & dries mertens for a national side place. Who gives a flying one about belgium anyway? And regular starter or not for us - he's our most creative player. That's not open for debate, the stats speak for themselves.

Of course its up for debate. How about Ged? Or Barkley? They are more creative for me. Like Mirallas though, and most of our players to be fair, they all blow hot and cold.

Mirallas is a pretty average creative/attacking player for me. I find the worship he gets from some people (though its not nearly as much as it used to be) to be utterly bizarre.

Each to their own though. I do agree that he should have got more game time but he doesnt help himself either.
