Mirallas at the final whistle.

Apart from missing 2 glorious chances in the second half!

Agreed mate he should have buried one or both of them imo, though to his credit I was pleased to see him getting into those situations. I actually felt like Tom was trying to lead the rest of the midfield from 55 minutes onwards chasing down and trying to rush Utd. He could and probably should have been walking off the pitch with a couple of goals to his name and an assist for Lukaku first half.

We missed some absolute guilt edged chances yesterday. Forget tactics and what Bobby could and should have done. When the players pulled their finger out their arses yesterday and played some football they could have destroyed Utd about 5-1 or 5-2 themselves.

Too many players playing within themselves until that last half hour where we suddenly decided to play the type of football from a couple of years ago, fast one touch passing pressing and closing down and creating no end of chances.

I've said it before, but....

Mirallas was probably the first to get onto el blend's garbage. That's why he was unceremoniously dropped. Sure the penalty miss did him no favours, but I reckon he'd already got wise to him and wasn't prepared to put up with his shabbite.

The likes of @davek can harp on all he likes about mirallas' alleged attitude, but that's an off-pitch matter. He's our most creative player by far; regardless of his pele antics at times. Who wouldn't have a attitude when the likes of osman & cleverley are getting on the pitch, and (not in their natural positions) ahead of you

Martinez has surrounded himself with 'yes men'. One or two of them have taken martinez's instructions a little to literally, and as a result we find ourselves where we are today.

Didn't include the lukaku chance... That's something else

Cleverly missed at the far post and also air shot another volley.

I think overall he played ok but this was a semi final and his performance, for an England international ,wasn't that special.

He played a lot better than our other England international midfielder, Mr Barkley. I reckon if Wiltshire has a good game today and stays fit, Barkley will miss out on the Euro squad!

Mirallas is is the biggest fraud at GP by a long way..get him out of our club. We stepped up when Geri came on, forcing United onto the back foot and making them take off their young full back. We had enough chances to win, and in the second half, well, maybe its too late for Martinez, but there were signs that we had got our mojo back. Its all about if this and if that, but we lost a close semi final against a team that has luckily found three very good young fast attackers, and a manager who by accident or design, realised that playing Rooney deeper gave his young attackers plenty of options to shine.
Whatever the future for OUR manager and some of OUR players, as supporters of a great football club, we pick our selves up, stay proud, don''t whinge, and move on. Heres to the next time.
Hahahaha. He's been a very good player for us the previous 3 seasons and has consistently had more end product than anyone in that time bar Lukaku, despite playing less. Then all of a sudden this season he's reduced to 2 minute cameos for absolutely no reason. He's been unfairly treated by Martinez.

He started it himself when he took the pen off Baines, at that moment he chose to piss us off and the players and the management off.

Thats why hes valued so highly as he could do this every game but we lack a top DM to be able to cover for his runs. Yesterday we went for it even with Gibson there as there was nothing to lose.

I know this is a Mirallas thread, but couldn't let this one pass.

I'd say that's why he's valued so highly by those proposing he switch to midfield; as a centre-half, this isn't his remit. He should be spending his time concentrating on his positioning, reading the game and marshalling his co-defenders.

No wish to hammer the nails further into his coffin so I'll leave it there.

No he will go because the England manager already knows that everton football are a circus.

In fact Roy told Ross to forget what goes on at everton he will have to work hard in the England training setup.

Yes. By a long way.

Even recognising the inadequacies you highlight Steve, that's a bizarre shout. He has been surplus to requirements to Martinez plans especially 2nd half on the season, despite Martinez publicly stating otherwise.

In a Euro season that would create a lot of frustration. IMHO Martinez has belittled Mirallas throughout the season. Title of bad bellend goes to Martinez I'm afraid.
