Mirallas return

coming from sn athletics background, and having a much higher understanding of injuries than most people in football (dinosaurs) it's quite likely that Mirallas has struggled to adapt to Moyes' tough training programme

he had no major injury issues till he joined everton so it makes sense, he's a professional footballer so his hammies will be strong as ****, people get hamstring injuries due to overloading in training/races/matches whatever sport you're in, rarely because they're weak. mechanical issues can also be a problem but from what i've seen he runs pretty nicely

someone needs to seriously review this and look at lowering his training load. bellamy was a similar type of, said he could only train once a day and had to be quality work not donkey work or else he'd be ****ed ... torres is another example; gone to chelsea and done a lot of fitness based work and he's lost his speed and basically his enitire game

Didn't know we had so many bloody medical experts posting on GOT.

Incredible financial minds, football conditioning experts and not to mention tactical geniuses GALORE!

Fairly sure there is a load of world wide globe trotting scouts too!

Disagree mate, those you mention did their time on the injury table and came back able to complete 90 minute games. Without any set backs. This lad has had more than enough time to recover and has limped of twice in the first 45 minutes.

Mirallas has lasted upto 45 minutes 5 t

Give him at least the season before judging him, don't forget it's his first season in a much more competitive league.

Moyes getting the blame is gold. MAYBE our extensive medical team MIGHT have just advised Moyes on Mirallas. SURELY Moyes has made his judgement furthermore based on what he has seen in training with Mirallas taking part in game-like situations over weeks. Some posters on here definitely have to be on crack. The only blame I would place is on our medical team and specifically the physiotherapy our players receive. Even so, as it happens I don't have a f'ckin clue like 99.99% of us here what goes on so I don't feel it's justifiable to be placing blame when I DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW the situation. Caps warrior here ffs.

i had something similar to what mirallas had when i was in uni. I'd pull me hammy, do rehab for X weeks, get cleared to play again, be REALLY cautious to what i warmed up with and in match, feel ok, then do one again. I cant sprint anywhere near what i used to but i think the majority is on me. didnt do the warmup enough....to be fair tho, if this is something that mirallas is getting too, there should be a team of physio's making sure it doesnt happen to him too.

Be frustrating - though not at all improbable - if you're correct given the amount of money we have invested in these kind of things, a myriad of sports scientists, physiotherapists, fitness coaches, not to mention the freelance experts, like the one we sent him to in Germany undoubtedly at great expense.

Not to mention the international football connoisseurs. They don't just half-arsedly cast a glance over some obscure continental second division game, they study it like the tapestry of potential wealth it is, spotting young and exciting talent years before everyone else.

We are blessed with all these GoT exblerts.

Marco Rojas, this kid will make it, stand on me.

Liverpool scouting him though, if he goes there I will fume.

He will have been advised, he didn't make the decision in isolation from that - but it has been his decision. He's took that decision knowing the conditions of the match build up and also having in recent memory how he was brought back before (presumably under the same medical advice) to disastrous effect.

It's his call as the manager; his judgement. It backfired. Should we say he was actually right to bring him back?
