Is quiet good or bad????

It's been very quiet today on the everton front for transfer,is this good or bad....your views

I think it's good cos even moyes said if I don't bring anyone in its not a bad thing

Wait, what?

You are saying that Martinez can't be blamed for the tempo of the current performances, but Moyes still can a full preseason and 4 competitive matches later?

Has Moyes forced Martinez to keep playing one up front? Or to continue with Osman? Or bring on Naismith?

Good lord, you are pretty deranged in your Moyes bashing at the best of times, but blaming our dour ex-manager for our CURRENT tactics and tempo is completely and utterly nuts.

Up next: United fans blame SAF for the loss at Anfield today, Ginger bollocks absolved of all blame.

Who gave Osman a new contract and who bought Naismith? The Manchester United manager.

No, what we are saying is that someone earlier in the thread used as an example of his ''talents'' - if we can use it to praise him, rightly it can be used to criticise.

OR we can go back, compare his performance to Fellaini's last season, which utterly ridicules the suggestion that he can be a like - for - like replacement.
Or we can go back to when Moyes signed Fellaini in the dying moments of the transfer window.
Panic buy,money spunked, etc.
Then he was given a very rough ride when as a raw talent he had to convince those doubters that he was worthy of his price tag.
Yet those very same doubters now wax lyrical over his obvious talents.

Ill be honest, i bet half of the people here moaning about McCarthy wouldnt moan if it was Moyes signing him, who might i add, also wanted too during his time here at Everton.

Two things here - we are saying that we don't want him to be a replacement for Fellaini. Replacement for Osman? Less than 10m? Definitely.

Also, where is the proof that Moyes bid for him? Or wanted to bring him in?

Still waiting on this and the 9m bid for Barry Ferguson.

I do have a good laugh at some posts, I can assure you. There really is no other option sometimes.

Especially crackers like

"he has to shop at Wigan for bargains, 16m for two players"

"Moyes bid 9m for Barry Ferguson"

Broken leg just rejected £10m for McCarthy. The final fee will be much higher than £16m for these "bargains".

Moyes has wanted him mate, simple as that. If Moyes was still here and Fellaini left, we'd be buying McCarthy.

Bad, very bad.

Kenwright is plotting behind our backs.

We'll wake up tomorrow and without knowing it will have had Fellaini sold. We'll find out via SSN when they show him at Carrington/Old Trafford meeting Moyes then we'll know we've been well and truly shafted.

If we're lucky we'll get in McCarthy, if not we'll "ir con lo que tenemos", which is apparently Spanish for "go with what we've got".

FFS Everton.

Lets stop comparing Moyes and Martinez reigns, for every Lescott there was a Kroldrup, for every Cahill a Bilyaletdinov.

I doubt we ever really had 9mill for Barry Ferguson.

Whoa, what?!?!

How on earth do you make that leap?

No quotes - no previous bid - we bid for a completely different midfielder in January and yet "If Moyes was still here and Fellaini left, we'd be buying McCarthy."

With no proof whatsoever?

By that logic, if he fails to sign Fellaini, he will probably go for McCarthy, a player he previously apparently considered to be a like-for-like replacement?
