Looks like McCarthy and Barry are coming in but how I'd love a major signing a striker who can put the ball in the back of the net can't see it happening but what about that lad at man city guidetti I think his name was we need someone next 26/27 hours going be very important for Everton football club and I hope Martinez comes through for us..
 
I dont think McCarthy is as bad as some are making out on here. Certainly not as good technically as Felli, although the thing that concerns me is going to be the serious lack of height in midfield again.

You are saying that Martinez can't be blamed for the tempo of the current performances, but Moyes still can a full preseason and 4 competitive matches later?

Has Moyes forced Martinez to keep playing one up front? Or to continue with Osman? Or bring on Naismith?

Good lord, you are pretty deranged in your Moyes bashing at the best of times, but blaming our dour ex-manager for our CURRENT tactics and tempo is completely and utterly nuts.

We can't do any of these mate. Comparing Fellaini and Mcarthy is like comaring apples and pears. Comparing the merits or pitfalls of Mcarthy on the bases of a YT video is like describing the taste of a pear on the basis of a 30 second video, despite the fact you have never actually tasted a pear.

What, we have limitless resources? He's had 10 bob to spend in terms of todays market and has gone back to people he trusts can bring value for that pittance...and they will if they're given time.

It really is an unedifying sight seeing grown men jumping up and down in a hissy fit over a three game old season.

I dont know whether to laugh, cry, or look at my shoes in embarrassment.

Last season, Kone scored a fairly unremarkable 11.

From what I've read mate the pro Mcarthy views seem to be saying forget the "like for like" re Felli it's actually the difference in his game that will make the RM ideas more effective.

Kone??? just don't know with the lad he's had this Ramadan thing it's a new club trying new things gotta wait and see.
 

Ill be honest, i bet half of the people here moaning about McCarthy wouldnt moan if it was Moyes signing him, who might i add, also wanted too during his time here at Everton.
