I can hope.

Not confident about the Rox ability to stay up with the Dodgers - and the D's have the easier schedule for the remainder of the season after this series.
So, since the Brewers won't seem to cool down, maybe they can take care of the Cardinals? Of course, that means the Rockies actually need to win a few to try to get the 2nd Wild Card spot. I don't see the Dodgers giving up this lead in the NL West.

And the Brewers finish up against the Tigers? Is this a new thing to finish a season with inter-league play?

Don't often post in here, but the Rays has massively outperformed potential over the past month.

On a different note, I'm in Chicago at the start next month, but looking unlikely the Cubs will play at home the one free night I have.

Looking at the National League:

East - Braves are in, have been for a while
Central - Cubs & Brewers both assured of playoff spots, positions not yet determined, one will take the division, the other the top wild card, Cardinals have a chance at 2nd wild card
West - Rockies lead by 1/2 game for the division, Dodgers currently hold 2nd wild card

And it could all change - 3 teams still trying for 2 spots - someone, Rox, D's or Cards, will be playing golf next week.

I'll be making bb's out of rebar tonight putting my hopes on those mighty Tigers. Got a three hitter out of Hamels and the staff and still lost 2 - 1. I hate the Cardinals, I do.

Time for some SEC football. Got to clear my mind.

A really strong finish by the Mets, which makes me rue the June we had.

So frustrating.

deGrom will surely get the NL Cy Young, and it’s been a great season for Wheeler, Syndergaard and a super finish by Matz in the rotation.

There’s hope going into next season with Rosario, Nimmo and McNeil as the young guns.

But what about David wright? I think he’ll end up being one of the most underappreciated players of recent generations. What a player.

As for the NL Wildcard, the Rockies best hope they get the win against the Dodgers tomorrow.

If they don’t, they face all issues.

Day one: Denver to LA
Day Two: LA to Chicago/Milwaukee
Day three: Off
Day Four: Chicago/Milwaukee

That’s a lot of travelling. Two extra games and your aces being used early!

Exactly. I think they have already flown out to LA, or are doing so shortly. Winning tomorrow would help quite a bit as they would get two extra days rest, as well as then returning to Denver to host the Braves starting Thursday.
