Mets have just conceded the NL East to the Braves again after leading for the majority of the year.

Still on course for 100 wins and the playoffs yet it feels like they’ve just put up another sub .500 year.

No way the Braves are getting swept by the Marlins, but it won’t matter as the Mets are mentally fried and will only take 1 from Washington.

They’ll also come undone against the Padres in the Wildcard series.

Had that bad feeling once we didn’t get more out of the third inning.
Runners on first and third with no outs and didn’t push baby further runs through.
Difference between a very good and great team these past three games

Yep, the Braves are stacked in the hitting dept. Marte is a big loss for us at No.2. However, some of the pinch hitting subs were bizarre from Buck.

Another strange one from Buck was putting deGrom in first when he knew he still had a blister, leave him until the Sunday and give him 2 extra days for his finger to heal.

All comes back to the trade deadline and going all in for an elite catcher that can hit. Contreras would have been worth Alvarez and Vientios from what we’ve seen so far.

A bit of a window open since the Braves lost yesterday. Who knows—if we can win both games of the doubleheader today and the Marlins win again.
Getting swept in Atlanta was a killer. If we had won just one game, we would be in a decent spot

As a Met you just know the Marlins will sweep the Braves and we’ll lose the last game against the Nats ?

We’ve been done for such a long time. The cracks were showing.

The sweep by the cubs along with deGrom just not being “quite” right.

End of the day, the Braves will be going on to win the World Series, they’re just electric, their lineup is stacked.

The Mets winning 100 games shouldn’t feel this garbage

Dad lived in Atlanta for 30 years, so spent a lot of time there and a lot of time watching the braves in the Chipper Jones / Andrew Jones time.

Nice to watch them doing something again for the last few years after a while falling off a cliff.

Here comes the playoff slot machine! The Rays basically tanked the last week of the season but it doesn't matter now. Time to see which team is the luckiest for a month and then pretend that makes them the best team!

Played when I was younger...due to being left-handed I was a pitcher and played 1st often.

Lost interest as I grew up but always kept an eye on pitchers so watched a lot of Braves games.

Maddux, Smoltz, Glavine...all future HoF, nasty.
