Mr. Met is scowling in your direction. Tied for first in the NL East

Are they really??

I've not kept up with the league thing but get their results sent to my phone to wake up to.

Always seems like they win one then lose 3 horrifically.

I need to pay more attention.

Big week for the Cubs. First the Pirates, then the Giants - every game a six pointer, if you get my drift. We're all clustered like bees on that NL wild card line, and the best opportunity the baby bears will likely have is this week.

Cubs have been W5 with a four-game sweep, but that was mostly the Brewers at Wrigley North - a wonderful series for the faithful who got up there to Milwaukee. Pirates and Giants are a whole different smoke - not sure if we have enough yet to challenge. Somebody has to step up and be a hero this week.

It starts on ESPN tonight at 7 PM. Hope Bryant is OK after getting his bell rung last night. Lester/Liriano is the matchup.

Boss this mate by the way.

Shame the team is a bit poop.
5 wins in a row and in first place now!! They did some work at the trade deadline and added 4 new players including this beast Yoenis Cespedes

Its been a little less Mets and a whole lot of LOL NATS.

6 in a row now isn't it? Miami seem a bit crap though. But still.

Tried their hardest to cock it up last night.

Parnell is a woeful reliever, managed to load the bases in the 8th, O'Flaherty did his job and got the out, then they kept him in and he, along with Robles and Familia nearly lost us the game.

As for Cespedes, excellent showing last night, and Papi with his 3-run homer.

2 games clear and 3 games against Rays, looking forward to watching them.

No wonder.

Biggest inning so far this year at Wrigley. Soler and Ross (Ross?, yep Ross) are clutch in the fifth, and five cross the plate. A win today takes the first two of a four game set. DP grounder for Pagan. Lester gets a punchout on the third guy. Life is good.

What a key series. It's been so long since it has mattered.

I timed that well!! Got on to game day for last pitch of the game!!

Mets are starting to pull away from the Nats now. Showed some tenacity in last nights win against Tampa, honestly thought we'd blew it in the 9th.

On another note, how strong is the NL central? The joke in Back to the Future 2 about the cubs winning the series mightn't actually be that far off!!!!!
