Well done Metropolitans. You are in the right place at the right time.

Enjoy your shot. You speak as if 1986 was a long time ago. Imagine.

It's 9 years longer than Everton's last trophy win. We're desperate for success.

Surely now we must make the World Series. If not, well the Cubs will have defeated Matz, Harvey, Syndergaard and deGrom (the latter two on the road), and deserve to be kings.

Interestingly, should the mets tie it up in the next two games, there is a large possibility that Jacob deGrom will face the opposition each time on the road. How many times has that happened?

1908 is a long time. That Daniel Murphy, though.

My Royals one win away from another World Series. 3 years ago I would have told you it's more likely that Everton would be in a Champions League final than seeing the Royals in back to back World Series.

BACK TO BACK!!!!

Duda breaks his slump and Travie comes up big! Any lack of confidence I've got in Matz.... He has the whole of New York rooting him on! 4 run advantage... Make it count!

Happy for Duda. You could tell he was starting to break out last night. Come on, Matz. The pride of Ward Melville H.S.

Great outing by Estrada and they're back in this thing now, imagine walking off the mound to that ovation.

Yup Marco was great, as he has been all season to be fair. I had to go to bed after 6 innings with only a 1-0 lead so was pretty nervous checking my phone this morning! Thankfully the bats came alive though. There was a stat in the game last night that in our last 15 games when we've scored 5 or more runs we've won every game, 4 or less and we've lost every time. Basically we need to slug to win and we ain't getting a whole lot of support from the bullpen! Here's hoping for two slug fests in Kansas...
