I think Collins wanted another lefty bat in there v. Volquez. However, given that the bat was Kelly Johnson it's questionable. Clippard looking really shaky

Not into baseball much. but the royals being in a 2nd consecutive World Series is further proof that American sports are better than ours . The royals with one of the lowest budgets in baseball doing what there doing is something that will never happen again in English football . The only thing we do better is promotion and relegation .

Good point. Mets are a low payroll team these days too

I think every Met was scratching their head.

Even a non-fit Uribe would have posed a bigger threat than Johnson imo.

But Cespedes as DH, would have been my call.

I think we'll tie it up tonight too.

The 14 inning game could swing both ways, give KC the momentum to push on and crush the Mets, or could in turn, prove to be very good for the Mets, the KC rotation isn't the strongest, but their 'pen is, so hopefully getting whacked for 8 innings yesterday should play right into our hands.

Needed to get at Cueto from the off and beat him before the bullpen came in, a tired bullpen from the night before.... So Cueto goes the distance.

Nice that the mets have done this well, but ultimately, were being killed. Need a miracle and a 3-2 lead going back to Kansas if we're to come back now.

Re: the Buckner play. Something that's often forgotten is that a Bob Stanley wild pitch tied the game earlier in the AB and it was a helluva at bat from Mookie. He fouled off a ton of pitches
