Getting into squeaky bum time now, looks like some big clubs will miss the play offs this season. Atlanta, New England, LA, Seattle all still with a lot to do, along with some other clubs

Only just caught up with this but shame Sacramento didn't win the Cup this week. Would've been a good story
Yes looking good for a playoff place at the moment by the look of it. Although might get tighter if Galaxy win their game in handMy team Portland have really stepped up.
If you look at how much the franchises are selling for, it's grossly over the revenue the league currently generates. The next tv deal also looks to reflect a perception of growth. I am not sure if I buy the commissioner and owners belief in it being a viable product yet, but they are getting wiser in relation to how they can grow in profile.I think I've posted this before but MLS should be pushing hard for a European Super League because then they become the second league on spending power almost immediately. There's a path for MLS being a major league in the next couple of decades.
Sounds very Philly. Lift trophy when you don't have the best team, except in 1983 when the Sixers actually did.Philly is the best team this season. As such, they’ll fail to make the final, just as the Revs did last year
Philly have an incredible youth system so will lose their best players each season and then rebuild.Sounds very Philly. Lift trophy when you don't have the best team, except in 1983 when the Sixers actually did.
Right now Mexico is a closed league too. That’s only temporary, they did it to stablilise the lower leagues who were in serious trouble once COVID hit, but it is still very difficult to get relegated. It’s a three-year rolling performance ranking (or one or two if you just got promoted) and only one team goes down. If MLS ever did pro/rel I’m sure it would be something like that.A hiccup though is the fact that MLS is a closed league, an appeal i'm sure factors in the gross over evaluations of the franchises currently. Owners are buying a spot at a closed table, and if Mexico enters the fold that drastically diminishes that key rationale. The new league cup though is a good initial test of the waters.
