Buy for 30, if they have to have a buy back put it at 60min. Give them a two year option. A but like the mina Barca deal.

Like some have said, he still needs to agree personal terms even if they activated the buy back clause.

Absolutely spot on. Any buy back should be at least double what is paid for the player and only exercisable 2 years after the sale.
Obviously if the player does not want to re-sign he cannot be forced to do so - modern slavery has been outlawed.

Fingers crossed this happens quickly now.

I hope it’s not reliant upon a chain of Lukaku to Inter before Icardi to Juve is allowed and the finally Kean to us.

With his contract situation and his seeming desire to leave as well as him not being first choice it shouldn’t really be held up.

No, much better to pay £30m for one, with zero chance of making a big profit if he turns out boss
There is a risk with all signings. Kean looks a talented player that there is no doubt, but he’s 19 and untried in the premier league. I stand by what I said I find it highly unlikely brands will pay 40m for a player in the last 12 months of his contract.

Yes, but the deal as outlined in the Mail is ALL risk with very limited upside.

If only I knew how to add a gif...
The scene where, sitting in front of the Tiger tank, Crapgame says to Kelly
‘Make a deal’

When did the upside stop being the player being good and start being making a profit though? Obviously in an ideal world you have the possibility of doing both, but surely it’s just plain wrong to say there’s very limited upside to having a good player for a couple of years? I’d say there was an upside to having Zouma last year, and we just paid £5m to borrow him for a bit. This deal is effectively borrowing someone too, only they’re paying us to do it rather than the other way round. Mark me down as confused as to why that would be worse.

Yep it would be a glorified loan deal, except he would remain with us if he flops... At 19 we would spend 2 years developing him, and by the time he starts to show real potential, Juve will take him off us on the cheap...
The buy back clause needs to be alot higher for it to make any business sense for us...

Buybacks are written into the contract aren’t they??

No idea, but just because juve will want him back, doesn't mean he'll want to agree personal terms. Marcel could have a cheeky word, get the player's guarantee he won't want to return there and haggle over a smaller fee with a smaller buy back option knowing full well it won't be entertained.
