But he's actually already there and is desperate to leave.
Mainly because he is not playing.
As was stated earlier the age profile of their current strikers means he would have a better chance of starting games in 2 to 3 years time,
Personally I can see Ronaldo playing to a high standard for another 4 to 5 years
The man looks after himself and is a supreme athlete

Nope, I think there is far more to it than that, reasons that have been discussed in here previously. He was playing plenty towards the end of the season, alongside Ronaldo.

When did the upside stop being the player being good and start being making a profit though? Obviously in an ideal world you have the possibility of doing both, but surely it’s just plain wrong to say there’s very limited upside to having a good player for a couple of years? I’d say there was an upside to having Zouma last year, and we just paid £5m to borrow him for a bit. This deal is effectively borrowing someone too, only they’re paying us to do it rather than the other way round. Mark me down as confused as to why that would be worse.
If he flops we cant send him back.
Its not a guaranteed buyback just an option to buyback that Juve may or may not exercise.I

But you can't send any signing who flops back, that's the point. It's just one of the risks of signing any player in the world, it's in no way unique to the type of deal we're talking about.

Consistency.

If he comes in, scores 25 and then is packed back for peanuts, we're back to square one. A minor profit doesn't compensate having to redo your attack every year.
If he bangs 20 plus in we will be playing European football with and look a much better option for another top striker. Plus we will have some of the cash to go get them.

This is a league where we've seen the likes of Higuain and Morata - high pedigree players - come in and do nothing for top clubs.

That's how hard it is to get a coherent striker at the upper levels of this league. If you get one, you keep hold of him - chopping and changing every year with the idea of incremental upgrades is a foolish strategy.

I don’t see a player wanting out of a club having a good season with his new club then wanting to go back!! He will earn a lot more money in the PL and get more exposure..
