I think that's your own fault for getting swamped up in the expectation hype rather than doing your homework.
I haven't been, I've been consistent in here noting that he isn't at the level the hype merchants would have us believe. Every next game is the one when hes going to start scoring for us.

Yeah it's called being positive m8, We all want him to score. I don't think I've seen any hype merchants for him.
We signed one of the hottest prospects in Europe, That is the hype.

This aint the Farmer Dutch league Brands - you cant have a 19 year old kid fresh from another country leading the line for us.

Absolutely foolish to only sign one striker.

Back to square one of Silva and DCL all season.

Urgh cant wait for it to end already 5 games in

I am delighted we got him, but at the same time angry that we didn't also sign a more experienced player to take the pressure off him. Now, whenever he starts, all the pressure is on him to win the games for us. It could ruin him. We should have shipped out Tosun and replaced him with somebody like Llorente, who last season proved he is still up to the job of a quality bit-part Premier League striker. Now it's either Kean scores, or Calvert-Lewin plays instead of him and scores every 20 attempts on goal.

people keep going on about pressure, he's playing for a mid table club getting turned over by villa and Bournemouth what pressure exactly does he have

he's just come from juventus and scored a few goals in the short time he had, im thinking playing for us isn't going to faze him much

Talking crap again I see

If only there was a formation that allowed you play two strikers together at the same time

But that's just crazy talk

5-3-2 may be the way to go if we had enough cbs.

Kean was always going to be a work in progress, by virtue of his age, experience and adaptation required to a new league/country.

If he can show some promise and get 8-10 goals in all comps then he’ll have had a decent 1st season. Something to build on. Worst scenario is that pressure gets to him and/or he becomes unsettled.

I'd just like us to try playing two strikers

Don't really care which two they are (Though I'd like one of them to be Kean)

Is there any top team that currently plays with 2 out and out strikers?

What tactical formation would you want 2 strikers employed in? 442? 4222? 532?

Don’t think you can just say you want to see 2 strikers without an idea how it changes the rest of the team

We aren't a top team, so it's about making us better than we already are, which playing with two strikers would help with IMO because it wouldn't leave our striker so isolated and would give him a partner to work with

I'd want 442 (Cue all the "You can't play 442 anymore" shouts) or at the very least an advanced 4411 with a second striker playing behind the key one up top

Heck, if we want to be nuts and go all out, 424 would probably work based on our attacking options (Richarlison and one of Bernard/Iwobi out wide whilst you put Kean and DCL in the middle of the front 4), although we'd ship LOTS of goals if we used it and we'd have to hope that we could score more than we concede (And against the genuine top teams it'd give them carte blanche to hammer us)

So you genuinely cannot think of any pressure this lad is under??

We aren't good enough to play 2 centre forwards. That's the problem. We already do it too to all intents and purposes. Sigurdsson's average position on the pitch is regularly higher than DCL so it's not that we leave the forward that isolated. The issue is we only use the flanks to attack.

We need 433 not 442. We need extra body in midfield and extra protection for the full backs because they play so high (way too high away from home imo).

Counter attacking with pace is the way forward. Having much less possession but being direct and incisive when we do have the ball. One striker and 2 genuine inside forwards/wingers, call them what you want. You don't need 2 strikers to carry threat.
