2019/20 Moise Kean

We've just been sold to by the odd Italian journo and thought he was some superstar we'd nabbed from the clutches of European top clubs. When in fact, he's a 30 million signing from the continent we know nothing about. We've took a punt. He'd played 13 games last season and no-one else really wanted him, including Juve.
I'm sure he will improve but we didnt need another player that "needs to improve". We need players for now. Tosun is better than Kean right now.

So you genuinely cannot think of any pressure this lad is under??

compared to anyone else? no

he'll be under the same pressure as anyone else, he will be fine.

he's just come from a massive club playing with Ronaldo etc and it didn't seem to faze him, he's played at international level and it didn't seem to faze him, so coming to play for us shouldn't faze him ( I don't think he's looked like someone who's feeling pressure when he's played for us either )

He is 19, new league, new team, language(not first), formation (apparent), big price tag, expectation - threre are so many reasons for him to feel pressure.

Have you never started a new job? In a new country, new people, different language as a teenager?

BTW, I played football this weekend and, even at 44 years old, having missed a couple of sitters, I felt the pressure so sod knows how this KID is feeling.

I am delighted we got him, but at the same time angry that we didn't also sign a more experienced player to take the pressure off him. Now, whenever he starts, all the pressure is on him to win the games for us. It could ruin him. We should have shipped out Tosun and replaced him with somebody like Llorente, who last season proved he is still up to the job of a quality bit-part Premier League striker. Now it's either Kean scores, or Calvert-Lewin plays instead of him and scores every 20 attempts on goal.

We did try to ship out Tosun but he wouldn’t go.

Lorente proved at Spurs that he’s not suited to English footy and he also would’ve wanted stupid wages too.

If someone like Dzeko would’ve been available and been prepared to take a reasonable wage, that would’ve been ideal.

But there wasn’t, so we go with what we’ve got.

I'd say being a kid at 19 would bring less pressure than spending big money on a say 27 "proven" striker in their peak, as they are EXPECTED to score goals, people ( me included ) don't expect to much YET from kean

new league, fair enough it is new, but he's played in champions league knock out games im thinking these kind of teams wont scare him ( the teams we have played so far )

can get on board with the language barrier being an issue

formation? come on lad he'll have been playing football all his life, all across the park in different positions, it's not like we play some mad formation he'll never have played before

I have started a new job and I didn't get nervous in the slightest because I am absolutely solid, people are different though.

yOU DO COME ACROSS AS SOLID

I think it was a bit of both. If we wanted a striker to come in and hit the ground running, we may have gone for haller at nearly 20mil more or gambled on Diego Costa( unlikely he would have come I know)

But other than that who was out there. We wasn’t going to attract top quality IE Werner. So it was basically take a gamble. And obviously brands things Kean was the best prospect out there.

Would you want us to have paid 40 for Joelinton or 30 for Wesley. It’s a very difficult market trying to get a top striker in.
Would of gone for vardy even if only for 1 season.
Brands had all summer to get someone in.

Kean was a gamble
