Thing is he was never going to be an instant success.
He will become a key player for us - just needs time and patience.
Once he slots, he won’t stop.
Just been reading through the last 10 pages or so and I am flabbergasted some are writing him off already.
We need to give him more time. It.could be also Silvas tactics don't work for his style of game
You are most likely on the nose with that. I was just offering suggestions instead of wetting the bed like some in here. Its not the tactics, hes a 19 year old playing in a new country, in possibly the hardest league in Europe for the first time.
He just needs a few goals to take the pressure of and find his feet.
The reason is no goals.
Very shallow reasoning, how many games has Kean gone without a goal compared to Sandro ? Yes I thought so.
I know he hasn't scored yet but in the PL he's been better than DCL in the areas of striker play that correlate into scoring goals going forward. The problem is not him, it's the creativity behind him. He will come good if we can figure out the attacking play more generally.Should never have been starting games this early, impact player off the bench for now.
Sandro played 349 league minutes before we dumped him out - Kean has 252 so far
I think Kean will be a very good player for us, and prove to be a considerably wiser buy than Sandro was - but let's not fool ourselves, pretty much every Evertonian was buzzing when we secured the Sandro transfer. There is no guarantee that Kean will settle as well as we all hope he will, its just a case of fingers crossed - And Sandro is the perfect cautionary tale to highlight this.
