The managers certainly don't help. I just find with us that if a player doesn't burst out of the blocks for us then he never gets backed by fans or the manager.
Fans don't make the decisions on whether they get to play or not though. It would be nice if managers stopped reverting back to the older average players after every half and half performance from a youngster.

He came because of Brands not Silva, We don't play to his strengths we don't help him at all, It's just pathetic by the management that we're treating one of the hottest European prospects like this.

...I really don’t get this; ‘we don’t play to his strengths’. He’s a footballer, he gets possession of the football on a football pitch. He’s not doing much. If we’re not playing to his strengths, I don’t expect him to be MoM, i don’t expect him to score a hat trick, I just want him to do something when he has the ball.

He's a baby eggs, 19 years old coming from the soft Italian league to the fast paced hard hitting English league, It's only been 7 games he'll need time and patience.
He has shown glimpses of what he can do but with the way we play he's left alone to do the doggy work and it doesn't work for him because he's a fast paced poacher type and we never only know how to cross the ball in.

They don't but as you can see in this very thread some fans just mark a players card after a handful of games. I mean there were people writing him off before he kicked a ball for us!

It is a worry that our manager doesn't seem to know his best 11 regardless of age. Especially as he doesn't have a ton of options in certain areas.

Did you see him getting pass 3 players on a single run today? Did you see him trying to save a ball that was on the way out and earning a corner eventually? All these meant nothing to you or did you set a high ceiling to judge him?

What makes you think he did nothing on the pitch?

...I know all that. I’m just not seeing the things I expect from a player with exceptional promise. I truly want him to be very good, I just want to see a spark of brilliance.

....it’s probably me who’s got it wrong. The lad is a full international, Mancini says he’s a real talent. He’s physically outstanding with real pace, power and mobility. He looks the part but he’s yet to provide me with a ‘that’ll do me moment’.

I generally like the players Brands has acquired so I live in hope. I’m not writing him off, but I can’t help but be disappointed.

Think Eggs has made up his mind on Kean very surprising to be honest, not a knee jerker poster tbh either.
