Have to disagree Eggs, how a player performs is very much determined by the way the team is set up and the tactics we adopt. How could it be otherwise? With regard to Richarlison he had the massive advantage of us playing a system that didn't isolate the lone forward and that moved the ball with pace. Put Kean in that same team with the same tactics and we'll see a different player than the one we've seen so far....i’m not much of a believer in the ‘we’re not playing a system that suits him’ excuse. He was bought to play in this team, a team that plays a lone striker. It’s a brilliant position because you should be in the game all the time. Richarlison showed how to play it yesterday, Kean has the mobility, attitude and physicality to be brilliant at it. He’s got everything to terrify CBs.
He needs to start delivering and become more effective.

He was unlucky not to get a proper go against one of the most open defences that Everton will face all season.
Missed a good opportunity to get him off the mark there.
I would definitely have eased him in on the wing before now, but Walcott deserves to keep his place for at least another week.Get him out on the right against Brighton - we all know Walcott will revert to frustrating the living daylights out of us - give him the chance to get on the ball and interchange with Richarlison if we are going to keep Rich up top.
Giving him bit part appearances from the bench will do nothing for his confidence.

Richarlison will struggle against their compact, well-drilled defence, so Kean's chance will come a lot sooner than it did yesterday.
...it would be folly to drop Walcott, he must’ve been on fire in training as Silva was very keen to start him and has spoken favourably about him.
Keek Kean to the cameo appearance, his attitude looks great so he’ll be itching to get on and make an impression. If he’s what we hope he is, he’ll deliver and force his way into the team. We really need him to be effective.
He’s a 19 year old kid adapting to a new country and style of football....i’m not much of a believer in the ‘we’re not playing a system that suits him’ excuse. So? Why does what came before matter? All that matters is picking form players so for the next game no one gets dropped.
So Walcott is in form after one game?
He’s a 19 year old kid adapting to a new country and style of football.
Kean is in form?
What chances has he had compared to Walcott?
