Patience ye olde gurus, patience.

When the inevitable happens and our some forwards miss a string of games for whatever reason – he will get a run of games. It is common theme.

The rooster is still crowing, and won’t stop for a while. So patience, patience, patience.

People need to relax and give him time, time to settle, time to learn Silvas way of playing, time to learn the language better, time to learn about his team mates and some you know actual proper time on the pitch.

Also by the way, for those who are saying “he’s 19 so therefore he’s immune to criticism”

Mbappe, De Ligt, Sancho, Havertz, Jovic, Rashford, Alexander-Arnold, Eder Militao, Aouar, Joao Felix, Vinicius Junior, Wan-Bissaka, Pulisic, Rice, the list goes on and on. Countless players aged 20 and under performing at the highest levels for some of the very best teams across Europe.

This is a kid touted as the best young striker in Europe by many. Why aren’t we starting him? Why isn’t he even getting minutes in this team? A team that has looked utterly toothless in attack all season.

If you’re old enough, you’re good enough.

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

Utterly clueless edgy meff you.

Evra was on the telly last night saying how it took him and Vidic six months at least to get used to the Premiership due to the speed and physicality, and how they both thought they were out of their depth after big moves.
It just takes time to put on that muscle mass and learn the British game especially if you are young.

He'll be fine.

But Evra and Vidic were “playing”. Can’t learn sod all about your team mates and the Premier League if you’re picking splinters out your backside.

Okay so here’s a question, how long does this continue, this lad sat on the bench, before YOU start to get suspicious about his potential suitability to the league? The answer will be different for everyone of course, but we’re 1/4 of the way through the season and we’ve barely seen him.

What we have seen hasn’t been great but you can certainly overlook that because he isn’t getting the minutes to make the mistakes that all young players make.

Is the manager seeing something in training that we aren’t? More to the point, how long before Kean argues this wasn’t the opportunity of regular minutes that he was sold.

He’s not some kid that needs wrapping in cotton wool, he’s still learning sure but he’s a grown man and if he wants to be one of the best players in the world as we believe he has the ambitions and talent to do so, then the best players in the world are getting minutes in their teens and early 20s. At all levels. The best are doing it in the league, europe and internationally in their teens and early 20s.

Minutes is what he came here for, what he came here over all those other top clubs in europe. He’s not getting them, why not? That’s a fair question from all sides, I’d say.

One that we, and Kean, has every right to ask. I certainly hope he is. If top strikers are sat on the bench watching the team struggle, they are banging the managers door down for an opportunity.

By your logic Henderson is a quality player too

No, my logic isn’t “they play for a top team, therefore they are a top player”. My logic is “they are playing regularly for a top team at 19 years of age, so they can’t be THAT bad a player”

Two very different points, and the second wouldn’t apply to Henderson.

How many of them changed clubs this summer like i posted + are doing well?

Practically all of the players I’ve mentioned have moved from their home countries before the age of 20 and are playing regularly. Irrespective of their quality, which is entirely subjective and up for debate, these young lads are getting regular minutes for some of the best teams in Europe.

So the point stands, if they are poor young players (which I disagree with in most of those cases, but we’ll forget that for now) and we all acknowledge they are playing regularly at the highest level at the likes of Madrid, Barca, Dortmund, Milan, Juve, Lyon etc but also several u20 players playing regularly at midtable teams such as West Ham, Sociedad, Wolves, Watford, Marseille, Villareal etc and we have one of the very best young strikers in europe, why on earth is he not getting a kick?

You say it like it’s an impossibility for an under 20 player to move countries and adapt (or be given the platform to do so!). Modern Footballers are so accustomed to travel nowadays. And remember, we’re not actually excusing the fact that he’s playing and playing badly here - which would be better. A starting point. Then perhaps the argument about adaptation and “give him time” would hold more water as we’d have something to base it off.

He’s not even getting a kick and our attack has been shocking, why?

TAA and Pulisic are both 21. Rice turns 21 in January. Not meant to be splitting hairs but let’s not make things up and just give Kean a bit of time eh?

Who’s making things up? Rice, TAA and Pulisic didn’t just start playing this season lad. They’ve got 2-3 seasons under their belt in some cases. So they are in exactly the same bracket as Kean is/was. No difference.

Can we please please please please not make a habit of rating Declan Rice. Absolutely woeful player and while young, he is currently nowhere near a quality top flight midfielder. He absolutely folds under pressure like we put on him at the weekend.

Kean will get his chances and he will come around in time. It is a bit easier when Pjanic, Costa, Cuadrado and whoever else Juve have are setting you up. He got 15 minutes in our only competent attacking performance this season. Hopefully we have more of those showings and he gets more chances as a result. I think he will do well at that point.

Their quality, whatever you think of them, isn’t really the argument here. It’s about the minutes he’s been afforded that Kean isn’t. I think Rice is a decent young player, improving in a decent West Ham team. I don’t think he’s going to be a world beater, nor do I fall into the trap of thinking anyone who isn’t Iniesta is garbage as many do on here, but he’ll be a decent Premier League midfielder. Either way, the point still stands, he’s getting minutes and has been for a long while.

Are AWB and Rice NOT getting regular minutes for their clubs and have been for over 12 months?

That’s the very point i’m making. Nothing to do with quality, which ultimately boils down to a matter of opinion anyway.

So by your own logic, which you've just clearly explained to us all, Kean must be a top player because he was playing regularly for a top team at 19. Glad we cleared that one up.

And yet isn’t anymore. Still at 19. Peculiar.

Also, depends how you define regular - I’m not sure I’d consider a handful of appearances, many as a sub to be regular but to each their own.

Well a handful of appearances is a lot more than, say, Wan-Bissaka isn't it? What with him not even making his first team debut until he was 20 and everything. And yet you had no problem including him in your list. Peculiar indeed.

Hahaha, OK for the benefit of doubt let’s remove AWB from the list because he made his debut at 20.

If you want to be pedantic rather than focus on the uncomfortable questions, that’s absolutely fine.

I'm not sure it's pedantic to point out that 7 of the 14 players you mentioned being 20 or under are actually 21 is it? The only uncomfortable question you're raising is whether or not you can count.

Wan Bissaka aside, some of those players may be 21 now but were all playing regularly aged 20 and under - and that’s the basis of the point i’m making.

Like i said, you can pick holes in the reference points all you want but the argument is valid and it stands. Even if we accept that you’re right, what about the other players i’ve mentioned, do we overlook them?

He looked strong enough in the build up to the second goal. The language and cultural assimilation will take time, obviously it would have been far easier if the team were playing consistently well.

Physicality is so important in the British game and it seems like that might not be Kean's cup of tea.

There's a lot of talk about Villa and Palace putting in £20m bids for Ranger's Alfredo Morelos in the media.

That would be very good business.

He loves the physical nature of British football and is as goal hungry as they come.
