Set to return to Goodison Park for the festive period ahead of the January window, the player spoke to Corriere dello Sport for their Thursday edition and gave a small insight as to what was going through his mind these days.

He said: “I’m not thinking about the transfer window now, others are doing that. I’m looking at the present, I want to train and play.

“The Premier League is a very different league to Serie A. You need time to adapt. If I have to think about an immediate goal, it’s only to earn a starting spot at Everton and work towards that.”

The player also took the time to apologise and admit he was ‘mistaken’ for breaking the rules set by then Italy U21 manager Luigi Di Biagio back in June.

What the hell, I can't get outraged over that.

Is right lad, the rest of the rumours swirling around is just chip paper

Watched the BBC interview this morning of de Klerk.Talking about when he came to the UK,how the coach playing him and giving him responsibility really improved his game!
Do you think Kean would make a good scrum half?

I joke of course. I would like to see him get some game time though. He ain't going to adapt to the league if doesn't play.

He sounds cool if I am honest. People getting excited about a couple of minor misdemeanours, he;s still a kid.

He's got the build for it.But playing him would mean keeping the ball moving quickly and on the floor which appears to be a bit of a problem at present,so on with DCL we'll go.

Hes just bagged a couple against a pub side during the week so hopefully that will give him some confidence. I would definitely play him tomorrow, even if he gets one off his backside it could give him that bit of an edge to kick on.
