on the subject of DCL I loved when Moise had that one saved where he probably deserved a goal and looked really frustrated at the face, DCL instantly started clapping him in encouragement, made me feel warm
That chance Kean had showed the difference in Kean and DCL style, most of the time DCL wouldn’t have got the shot off like Kean did. Kean looks a lot more of an aggressive striker, but the mix of the 2 could be promising in the future.

Hope to be wrong, but I don’t see Kean making it in the EPL.

Wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him used in a swap deal in jan. or disappointed.

Kean looks direct and likes to run at defenders and thats the one thing they hate.

Actuall, that’s the difference between him and a DCL, but if managed right they could become a dangerous partnership. But definitely we need to continue to play 2 up top as none of our strikers are good enough to play up there on there own. Richarlison is about our best at it, but it just doesn’t work for us.

His acceleration for that chance was blistering ... looked the keepers all day long.

He's only 19... but none the less he will no doubt be soon attracting the expert criticism of armchair experts unless he resembles lukaku at the same age.

He has got alot to develop but has the raw tools.

A reminder for anyone who wants to compare this lad or DCL to Lukaku is this..... lukaku was playing regular football as a 16 year old who was fully physically developed. A career has a shelf life of about 13/14 seasons unless a player really looks after themselves with their weight and is lucky with injuries.

I expect this kid to net soon and the goals will flow. DCL and Richarlison are key to that.

I think he showed a lot more promise and a lot more in the game than any other yesterday. Getting shots off, did really well to create a chance for himself was just a little unlucky that a; the GK did an excellent job and B: the ball had gone that far ahead of him, had it not been so close to the goalie when he struck the ball i think he'd have a goal on his record now.

Really pleasing to see him have a positive influence though, feels like Ancelotti is just what Kean needed as well as the club.

I think most blues are desperate for him to get his goal after a troubled half-season both down to him and Marco Silva. He's starting to get into the positions more which is great.

Although he was always clearly a signing for the future, I guess we were hoping he'd come on and be Lukaku mk II i.e. a 15-20 goal striker at 19, but it's clear now that this whole season is about him gaining experience and finding his feet in the country.

I don't think we'll start to see the best of him until next season. It's great the team's winning and clear of trouble now, so he can make his mistakes and learn without getting slaughtered.

If people pretend that lukaku was 23 when we signed him then that would help them calibrate "real game experience"...

Lukaku will be pretty much done for by 29 by which time he will have played 13 seasons and the best part of a 1000 games.

when Kean came here he was hyped up so much, it was as if we had finally found a Lukaku replacemen, people expected him to start notching up goals straight away. The media was to blame for that, its been a massive transition for the lad coming to a new country to play in a struggling side is probably the hardest league in the world.
He’s is 19 and all that on his shoulders, no wonder he has struggled, I’m sure the board had an idea Carlos was going to be available and thought if they get him, arguably one of the best Italian manager it would have an added bonus, Kean would be working with a fellow countryman. I’m sure keans here to stay for a good while and I’m sure in the coming weeks we will see much more of him.

It doesn’t take much for an Everton player to be slaughtered, DCL nearly missed the second goal chance yesterday, if he had he would have been slaughtered today. We Everton fans are harsh to the players, but that’s no all in just, as the player have been under forming for so long. So it’s time that started doing and getting things right.
