our best route is to develop younger players, giving them time and space to improve.
The balance of immediate team needs vs identifying, developing and improving young players is the skill of management.
Criticising young players is easy.
My Original comment was about the way people were describing a pretty average performance as if it had been excellent. You can pretend that you didn’t think Kean would have contributed anything of note more than half way through the season if you want, and people will like your post and give you woke points, and you can all act as if people are thick for expecting a £27m striker to, I don’t know, score, but it’s not true is it.
In the short term he’s been disappointing, it’s just a fact. I can judge his performances in the present while also acknowledging the potential for improvement in the future. To do anything else Is just weird.
