....great contrast between the two strikers today. Lots on here want Kean to play, most of them think DCL is a ‘Championship Player’. Today was stark for those that think that way.

Silva was blamed for Kean’s performances, the formation was blamed for Kean’s performances, ‘we weren’t playing to his strengths‘ was blamed for Kean’s performances. I thought he offered very little by way of technique or ability today, nobody is to blame.

Says a lot when Niasse was possibly more effective when he came on and DCL was far better. Kean has got lots to prove.

I must have been watching a different game. Kean was by far our most effective player linking up play first half and hardly noticed DCL. Just shows you...

Niasse is a disgrace. Comparing Kean to him isn't even funny as a joke.

See how he does with the rest of the season. If there's not much change consider loaning him out in the summer and bring in an experienced replacement.

But I'm not a multimilionaire DoF so will have to trust in Brands.

I wont be judging him properly till the first third of next season.

I am concerned though at his lack of awareness, footballing intelligence etc, call it what you like. He doesn't really seem to understand his role in the side yet.

He makes some decent runs and shows some flashes but its only fleeting flashes. Hes certainly not a lost cause though by any means.

No he doesn't, Niasse at 29 has not learnt to control a football. Kean was poor today, but with that midfield behind you and that invention, Messi would struggle. But saying Niasse looked better is pure tosh.

By better, I mean if we played 500 minutes, Niasse looked more likely to score than Kean.

They were both terrible but Niasse less so.
