Was thinking this too. He doesn't seem to anticipate the transition well when playing on the wingOne thing I notice about Kean is that he always seems like he's in-between different phases in a game. Like his timing's off. He seems to be a bit behind when asked to defend and a bit behind when Italy are breaking. Not sure if its work rate or positional sense, both can be worked on though.
Way to soon to discard a 19 year old striker with less than 20 games under his belt before he came here, after 1 season in foreign country in one of the top leagues of the world, surely?Sometimes transfers just don't work. I think of Depay and even Di Maria at United who are two fantastic players who just didn't suit the league or couldn't settle. If we got offered what we paid for Kean back, surely we'd take it and go again. He's got bags of potential but I just don't seem him becoming a success here.
