2019/20 Moise Kean

So were Deulofeu, Barkley & Stones at one stage and honestly have we really missed any of them?

I think too many get caught up in what he could be rather than what he is.

A loan move to give him regular game time to an English club would be preferable but financially speaking I cant see us doing that.

I just cant see anything about him that makes me think "that lads got something"

Look at the likes of Greenwood and then tell me Kean looks anywhere near ready.
If we get someone with a high probability of being better + almost money back, I agree.
But I don't like the idea of losing 10m FFP money whilst betting on another unknown horse ala Gomez.

Anyway, we both agree he is expendable, I think I am just more willing to gamble on his potential given I dont think he will loose more of his value + I dont like to risk another gamble, even if he is 3-4 years more experienced. Not easy this transfer-game, is it? ;)

He is 19 in a diffrent country ,during a covid crisis , he just might want to go home and be around family and friends, just because he is a footballer doesn't mean he isnt human.
Not ideal to get the best out of him, might suit both us and him to let him go back if we get are money back.
To be honest seen nothing to say he will be successful here up to now and he isnt worth a place in the team on his current showing.
Might be a future super star in the making but at the moment it might be the wrong place and time for him right now to be here.
Hope he give's it a season to settle in but if he goes good luck to him

Unless he starts throwing fits I'd let him see out his contract (which I assume has two years left to run) before considering getting rid. Last season was a disjointed mess across the board and it seems rabbity and feckless to dump him as if such conditions constituted a proper trial.

He obviously has something special to be playing for Juventus at 19, as well as the Italian national team. No one gets to do that unless they have something special.

We haven't yet seen what that is in an Everton shirt, but given the circumstances of the last year, surely we want to give him an opportunity to show us, now that we have a manager and midfield that may help him flourish?

If he wants to go then we should let him, he isn't going to play to the standard we all want if he is homesick and not enjoying it here. The price will only keep dropping if we wait hoping for a miracle. If he's happy to stay and fight that is another matter.

Really disagree with anyone saying to get rid. I wouldn’t even loan him. He’s still very young and will only improve under Carlo. Also we don’t have another striker really seeing as we want to get rid of Sandro and Tosun.

Why sell him, lose money and replace him with another unknown quantity that will also likely sit on the bench with DCL being first choice with Richy? At least Kean knows the systems we’ll play and will have relationships already at the club with the rest of the squad.

Incredibly unfair to judge a teenager, in a new league and new country after a dreadful season for the whole squad aside from about 3 or 4 players out of nearly 30. Even still I think he showed promise when he was given a meaningful amount of time. Many have made their minds up since Dunc took him off after a few minutes of coming on but I still maintain that was the wrong decision.

I think we give him this season at the very least to see what he can do with more minutes and having not only a competent midfield winning battles for him but some creativity to create some chances for him too.

I think he probably wants out personally.

Was hardly given a chance due to how well Rico and DCL played last season and I think he will be itching to get out the door.

James and Carlo means little to a player like him who just wants to be happy.

Time will see.

I truly believe he will come into his own this season. When he was paired with DCL last season, he showed us glimpses of the player he could be. With a competent midfield to support both him and Calvert-Lewin, the goals will come.
