2019/20 Moise Kean

Think it’s far too early to think about getting rid to be honest. Would love to see what he can do with a capable midfield behind him.

Often last season, in his small cameo’s, he was being brought on and tasked with being the out-ball and would find himself in channels with no support.

Also reckon a 3 of Richarlison, DCL and Kean could do bits with James, Allan and doucoure/Gomes behind.

Really disagree with anyone saying to get rid. I wouldn’t even loan him. He’s still very young and will only improve under Carlo. Also we don’t have another striker really seeing as we want to get rid of Sandro and Tosun.

Why sell him, lose money and replace him with another unknown quantity that will also likely sit on the bench with DCL being first choice with Richy? At least Kean knows the systems we’ll play and will have relationships already at the club with the rest of the squad.

Incredibly unfair to judge a teenager, in a new league and new country after a dreadful season for the whole squad aside from about 3 or 4 players out of nearly 30. Even still I think he showed promise when he was given a meaningful amount of time. Many have made their minds up since Dunc took him off after a few minutes of coming on but I still maintain that was the wrong decision.

I think we give him this season at the very least to see what he can do with more minutes and having not only a competent midfield winning battles for him but some creativity to create some chances for him too.
I think it all depends on how the coaches see it. I say it all the time but managers and coaches - especially ones of ancelotti’s standing - shouldn’t need to give people a run out to see what they can do. That will be clear to them from what they’ve already seen. I’m all for holding on to Kean if the coaches believe there is a good chance he can adapt and be a success here, I’m not really bothered about just ‘giving him a chance’ if the manager doesn’t think he can cut the mustard.

He is 19 in a diffrent country ,during a covid crisis , he just might want to go home and be around family and friends, just because he is a footballer doesn't mean he isnt human.
Not ideal to get the best out of him, might suit both us and him to let him go back if we get are money back.
To be honest seen nothing to say he will be successful here up to now and he isnt worth a place in the team on his current showing.
Might be a future super star in the making but at the moment it might be the wrong place and time for him right now to be here.
Hope he give's it a season to settle in but if he goes good luck to him
This is why we loan him.

Not sell him
