I understand you're making an argument for 'everyday racism'. I understand your points, I just disagree with them.

End of matter.
You're welcome to disagree, but I hope you also understand that your attempt to use 'the same logic' in your previous post did absolutely nothing of the sort.

What Souness said wasn’t racist. He isn’t racist. Leave it at that.
No.

For the simple reason that I don't know the guy and have no idea if he is a racist or not. The vast majority of racists keep their views to themselves or to like minded people.

I've already said that I don't believe these anti Kean comments were racially motivated. And I'm NOT saying that Souness IS a racist either. What I am saying is that irrespective of this, his comments about Kean were totally out of order and disrespectful. and that your post I originally responded to appeared to be defending him of this.

he says himself that he has no idea, and offers no evidence to back up what he's saying.

He does offer circumstantial evidence. He questions the size of the fee vs the quality of the player and the absence of a buy-back clause (which the vast majority on here did too!).

The question is why he has chosen to say that about Kean, and not any of the other players that the same question could be asked of....

Because it was Everton against Wolves, mate.

He might have questioned Cutrone moving from AC Milan to Wolves but:

1) The fee was half the size.
2) Cutrone isn't as highly thought of as Kean.
3) AC Milan haven't been in the Champions League for ages
4) Wolves have European Football.

So there's no merit to questioning the fee which was pretty appropriate. The Kean fee being questioned, I have no issue with.

Why he decided on the very same day that Eriksen probably didn't have a bad attitude, despite also having no idea about that.

He didn't say Kean had a bad attitude. He did say that he had no reason to believe Eriksen had a bad attitude.

None of us know Silva or Moshiri to be fair. They could be racists couldn't they? I'm certainly not saying either ARE racists.

NB: Not liking something someone has said doesn't make them a racist.

Yeah I have no idea if it's racist or not, but it certainly smacks of "I'm an ex-Liverpool player and manager, and I can't resist the urge to have a pop at the new Everton signing because I'm in the priveliged position of being on a TV Network that is full to the brim with either ex-Liverpool players or actual fans of the club itself, so I know there'll be no reprecussions and they hardly ever bring an ex-Everton player on to dispute these sort of things with me, even on Derby Day where they'll have me in the studio and have Carragher doing colour commentary, so basically I can be as utterly bitter as I want and I'll always get away with it, which suits me fine because at heart I'm an embittered bully still angry that my physical prime has passed me by and I ruined my once chance to manage Liverpool by being a rubbish manager and selling a story to a certain tabloid, so I'll get my "cred" back with the cult like hoards by being as sickeningly pro-Liverpool as I can every time I'm on the box from now until the end of time"

Or something to that effect...

Souness logic with Kean and other players:

As Eggs said, it's the complete lack of research that's annoying. Souness completely ignored the fact that Juventus pretty much had to sell, and just conjured up an attitude problem out of thin effing air. A problem I personally don't think he would have invented for a white player. He's racist at worse, utterly ignorant and crap at his job at best.

… aaaaaand breath.

....I think the Sky discussion re Kean was largely ignorant. The pundits did not know the details of the transfer, and more concerning, neither did the match presenter.

They asked if there was a ‘buy back clause’ and were unaware Kean was in the last 12 months of his contract. This detail alone is a critical factor in the discussion, as without it the pundits were assuming Juventus have sold him cheaply when they had him securely tied to the club.

Consequently they looked for reasons why the transfer happened and Souness suggested the player could have an attitude problem (he was dropped from the Italian U21 side in the summer for turning up late for a team meeting).

I think the blame mostly lies with the Sky presenter for raising questions about Kean without having done his homework.
Yes, they were focussing on the BIG game, not the filler between two also-rans lol , hence as you correctly say, they hadn’t done their homework.

The Kean thing wasn't racist for me, Just another Sky presenter who didn't do his research about the transfer, The Pogba/Souness thing is defo suspect though he went after him every week.

I think Kean has been fine, ok he hasn't scored but we got three yesterday, if the team are getting goals he dosent have to get one too still be doing well.
Iwobi seems to have settled in fast, but he knows the league and country.

Dont forget Kean is 19, I noticed his mum had the box yesterday in the Park End corner, 19 moved to a new country, has suffered abuse very recently, of course he hasn't hit the ground running.
Thierry Henri was poor in his first season, it happens.

That's not circumstantial evidence at all though, it's baseless speculation.

He's had to guess why a club has sold a player, and rather than guessing that the player just really wanted to go, that he maybe wasn't rated as highly by Juve as you might think, that they were worried that he'd leave on a free in a year, or that he didn't fit into the new coach's system, he's guessed that he has a bad attitude. THAT is circumstantial evidence.

*edit* My post says it's quoting @Keiran but the quote isn't actually showing up when I post it for some reason.
