2020/21 Moise Kean

Baffling that people that are justifying that absolutely diabolical performance with a goal scored via the penalty spot. Players with no confidence dont take penalties and certainly dont take them the way kean took that one - hes just not good enough at all. No pace, no first touch, headless. Genuinely plays football like that kid in school that reckoned they were boss (usually supported arsenal) and learnt mad skills from fifa - but in reality they were utter crap.

start kean after that tonight? Did you even watch the game? 3 in goals in 3 starts against the 3 of the worst defences Everton have played in that time. And his all round game is way off Premiership standard. Its not a given that all players improve with age. it takes a lot of hard work and so far he is showing no improvement whatsoever.

He is no better than Sandro

Amazes me how these 'players' are worth 10's of millions and yet they cant even control a football, this lad looks like he started playing football 3 week ago!
Looks like conference version of lukaku minus the scoring ability!

Loan him to Fulham or West Brom and bring in another striker.

Ok but we were at home v Salford.

he looked as though he wouldn’t have been out of place leading their line.

his touch, control etc was Niasse like.

Niasse got a few goals for us too, but he wasn’t good, and based on that tonight, he isn’t either.

I'd love him to come good, unfortunately I just can't see it happening. What I'm beginning to wonder is what they saw in him at juve?

I mean, he isn't very pacey, doesn't look a great finisher, lacks composure, isn't very skillful either. I mean, it doesn't leave very much to play with does it?

I know he's young and wants to impress and his confidence can't be great at the minute , but he's had plenty of minutes now and he hasn't really convinced has he?

I think this is one of the worst posts I’ve ever seen. Im not a footballer, but I could do that with no pressure on me and a ball floated at me with loads of time to prepare. What fans are commenting on here is his ability to control the ball under pressure when players are drilling it into him. He takes about five touches to get it under control. He has no room and he has to use skill to be able to do it.
And you mentioned james putting the ball in for him. I’m fairly sure if you go through his player cam from the Tottenham game, you see him drilling it into Kean in the last few minutes in a good position. But guess what happens.....he miscontrols it......

I know he scored the penalty but the show boating run up is embarrasing. Great when it goes in but he'll just look a tit when one doesn't. I wouldn't lose any sleep if we got shut as I think it will be some time before he shows any consistent quality as he clearly not going to be a first choice selection.

But we're Everton, not Liverpool. We don't get top dollar for our youngsters. We only got 27m for Rooney and 80m for Lukaku when both should have been significantly more!

Let's just be happy to get our money back on a monumental flop so who quickly decided he didn't even want to be here.
buddies i really hate to this but u r the farmers and u cultivate everton failure.

Cos both threw titty lips about not getting game time over better players and decided not to stay. Both think they're better than Everton at a young age.

They may be. They maybe not. But if they don't want to play for us, get someone who does.

I don’t accept that at all, I think that’s group think and i also think it’s an unhealthy thing to vilify young players, it’s what we tell ourselves to convince our selves we’re ace at developing young players and haven’t dropped clangers, we blame the players and their loyalty.

Give me Kean and Lookman any day wanting to play ball and showing ambition, then a “Prince” Niasse and Besic, sucking the life out of us. I find the responses of our supporters interesting in comparing those scenarios.

Niasse and Besic, loyal, Lookman and Kean, disloyal, quite mad to my mind and wholly unrepresentative for me.

Do you mean today's Lineker..?

Moise Kean at the moment is not on the same planets the young Lineker.
Gary Lineker's full season the year he turned 20.

1st Division - 9 Apps 2 Goals
FA Cup - 1 App 1 Goal

Moise Kean's (partial) season the year he turned 20.

Premier League - 2 Apps 0 Goals
League Cup - 2 Apps 2 Goals
Ligue 1 - 17 Apps 10 Goals
Champions League - 6 Apps 3 Goals

I'd play him ahead of Iwobi and based on his performances/form, Richarlison.
We saw that when played wide on the right it just didn't work for him.

I would be delighted if he did come back and gave it one attempt at CA trying to fit Kean and DCL in the same team, it would be mouthwatering if it could be successfullying done.

He probably see's himself bigger than us now, he's had a taste of the good life over there playing in Europe's top competition so he'll be wanting away, and to be honest I wouldn't blame him one bit.

For us to make the most of up and coming young talent we need players in the team that can cover for them and bring them on and help them develop, our players can barely look after themselves at the moment, so giving a bit extra to make up for the deficiencies of a young talent is out of the question.

Its not about loyalty it's about time and taking the opportunity. Its not like those two players played zero games for us.

We bought Richarlison at the same age as Lookman. We got Dom at the same age we got Kean.

Both stuck around. Both played. Both improved. Dom in particular has fought to get where is his now.

I'd say its two camps. One that think we've not done enough for the likes of Lookman and Kean...the other sees two players that don't want to be here.

Some random player ratings to see what those without Everton-tinted specs made of his performance:

FWD - Moise Kean
Sharp, despite his wide berth. Got off a snap effort that Ter Stegen did well to keep out and worked hard on the right all night. Got PSG's third with a well-taken header from Paredes' ball in.
Rating: 8

Moise Kean (RW) - 8/10 - Really bright performance from the Italian, giving Alba a torrid time down PSG's right. Got a deserved goal to make it 3-1 with 20 minutes to go.
