2020/21 Moise Kean

He didn't deserve to start regularly last season when DCL and Richarlison were scoring. That doesn't mean he shouldn't have maybe got more minutes as a sub and it doesn't mean we should have allowed a loan move to one of the richest clubs in the world.

It hasn't worked out and we are almost certain to sell him, but it's hard to argue he never got enough starts. This is top flight football and you have to take your chances when they are given. We just don't see our young players take their opportunities enough these days. We maybe haven't handled it as well as we could, but I'm not sure things would have turned out any differently even if he had started a few more games.

If he stayed we could have potentially be selling him for peanuts this window or he would have kicked up a fuss, Do you really think he would have made a difference with the way we play and that midfield? I don't.
The whole plan was for him to be scoring and then sell him but we hoped the scoring would be for us not for PSG but it's not worked out like that, Take the profit and get a right winger in.

He was given chances. Fact of the matter is...he didn't to enough to dislodge DCL or even DCL did more to warrant being first choice.

Then the lad had to decide to bide his time and fight for his place (he'd only been here 12months) or feel unhappy about the situation and agree to play elsewhere.

End of the day, he dropped from Juve to us as a way of playing more regularly. That didn't happen over 2 managers and he's found it tough to break in.

This idea that it's the club's fault for not pandering to the next Van Nistlerooy is ridiculous

He really wasn't given chances. 20 mins here or there is not a chance. Played well and scored vs Newcastle then was dropped and subsequently didn't get any min for another 2 games.

He has better than Everton so it seems given he's about to play in a champions League semi and win the league ( and play a big part ) also given how PSG definitely want to sign him again and rumours juventus want him back

He wasn't given a chance though. Don't understand how people cannot see this.

Let's look at it like this, DCL finished last season with 11 games without a goal ( or there abouts )

Kean scored in his last couple of starts for Everton. Getting 11 games in a row even when your not scoring is being given a chance, not 1 start every 4 months and the odd 10 minutes at the end of games with the anti football we play.

If he was given a propa chance and it still didn't work out fair enough, but he wasn't and then asked to be loaned out to play more in which he has and had a far better season why would he want to come back?

So then we sell him. It's not difficult to comprehend.

DCL not scoring in 11 games but created a partnership with Richy in a 4.4.2 and had 13 goals in 30 starts. He's spent 4 years here, played right wing back once too. That's earning the right to play.

Kean has spent 12 months in a new league, the most intense in world football, and we're supposed to bend over for him?

Whether you believe Italian journalists, there could be a few clubs in for kean this summer. PSG, juve and now inter rumoured. Could work out well for us.

Inter are struggling for money so selling Lukaku for 90-100m and buying Kean for 40-50m leaves them up money but more than likely down goals

Reports today say were asking €50mil.

Looking at Inter, theres a couple of very tasty swap deals there...

Thing is behind the scenes he might not have a good attitude etc. His body language appeared to to shout, get me out of here. Profit move on.

And we will sell him but you and others keep saying he had his chance, when in reality he didn't.

Regardless of how many goals he had in 30 starts, when DCL come back after lockdown he didn't look like a premier league striker ( bit like now ) so this was the time to give Kean a propa chance and see how he does. As now psg have done it and reaping the rewards whereas we massively underperforming in that department.

Think it's easier to just say he wanted to go rather than acknowledge why he wanted to go.

And yes mate we went and signed the lad for big money from a massive team, I think teams who do that normally adapt to help the signing fit in, help them settle. We didn't, we swapped managers,.give him 10 minutes at the end of games and subbed him off and on on the same games. He HAS been poorly managed at everton.

Football doesn't work like that. Carlo played what he considered to be his best side. If he felt Kean was going to make the impact, he'd have played him.

And again, it's 12 months or managerial swaps and looking for stability. He's not stayed around long enough to settle or to prove himself for our team.

But DCL wasn't making an impact so wouldn't you try someone else and give them a fair crack?

Either way we can agree he will be sold but have different opinions on why he's being sold, some think he wasn't good enough some think he wasn't given a good run.

DCL scored 8 goals in the first 11 league matches under Ancelotti.

I think he struggled to adapt and I didn't see anything to suggest he was worth putting a huge focus in Over 12 months.

Things are easier playing for the best team in less intense league rather than for us. Would make anyone happy
