It's a red flag to the people that say "he didn't get a chance". The lad found it tough over 12 months and wanted out. Never settled, didn't really want to be here. Feels more "warmth" in sunny Paris where he's "loved"

We have 1 defensive midfielder who's injury prone.
I'd rather have a 32 Gana who can actually break up play than some random "youth" that may not work if he was available. No question.
Or do we start the "Players at 30 are done" arguement.
How much hunger will Gana have? Not a drop.

Gareth Barry didnt need to use energy to get around the pitch, he just floated to where he needed to be and if he wasn't there he fouled them!

Prob still a lot. He's just that type. Comes from within and i think he'll be like that until his legs dont have it anymore.

I think we need hungry players, all our better players have had hunger, sure a hunger to leave us and go elsewhere, but its what drives the very best.
I watched Gana turn in some very uninspiring performances for us over the years, he was the very best in the 6months in which he was after his PSG move.

Why can't we try to find the next Kante, Ndidi or Bissouma instead of a 31+ player that we're inevitably going to have to replace the season after anyway? I can understand a loan deal for someone like Gana if you're wanting experience and a good squad player (if we get europe), but for me it should be with a 21-24 age range 'best young thing' player. I thought that's what Brands was meant to be bringing?
