2020/21 Moise Kean

It's not confidence; he doesn't want to be here. He hasn't since the week he came through the front door. His body language - and everything he's done - absolutely screams it. His attitude stinks.

If we get no suitable bids, we have to keep him as a loan move makes absolutely no sense, but there's no doubt the optimum scenario is to get rid.

Tbf I think if we were in a better financial position then keeping him and seeing if it could work wouldn't by any means be the worst thing in the world - again, part of that really might come down to system. I'm not advocating playing Kean as a winger, but he's never going to be a loan striker, but every manager we have is obsessed with 4-2-3-1 or some variant of it.

But we are in a dire financial position, and Kean is a sellable asset that isn't Dom or Rich who are crucial to us, so if there's a decent offer we will take it.

Inter are probably the ones, tbh. It'll all be on Raiola.

Freudian slip?

That's precisely what he's going to be.

I wouldn't be so literal.

'Confidence' is a broad term in this context. Confidence is confidence to go out on the pitch and perform, not confidence in yourself - like what you wear or how you celebrate.

Some players will turn up anywhere and anytime and perform at 100%. Bruno Penandes at Man Utd is an example. For other players they need time to acclimatise, need a first goal, to get used to their team mates and consistent reaffirmation if they are under performing or what have you. Only then do they have the confidence to go out and perform.

Maybe he is struggling and does want to leave Merseyside, or the UK, and go somewhere else. But are you sure that's not beyond repair - often that can be worked on, no?

I'm up for second chances and I see a player in there. But you are entitled to your opinion as well

I think he needs time and games. He’s 21, DCL is 24, DCL was absolute crap a couple of years ago. Many on here, myself included, didn’t think he would make it but he has proven us all wrong. This young lad, given a bit of confidence and ‘love’, may well do similar…..

I'd fully agree if it wasn't the fact that DCL wanted to work hard and earn his spot. I 100% wrote DCL off. I still have doubt about his general play but if he can continue to work hard, use his strengths and be a fox in the box then there is a place for him.

Kean does not work hard, he does not play for the team. His attitude has been poor.

Loaning him out makes no sense unless the manager feels that he isn't good enough for Premiership football and getting a good loan fee and have his wages paid for the next three years would reduce our loss on him.

If he feels that he could be a Premiership striker then keep him, play him on a regular basis and if he does any way well then he will at least retain his value.

It is a huge pity he could not play last Saturday as that would give a decent opportunity to see what he was made of.

Sell him for a decent fee or get him into the squad and team and let him prove his worth.
The club already worked with him by granting a loan last year, he obviously didn't impress PSG enough to spend money on him and unless Inter want him as a replacement for Lukaku it is hard to see where else he could go.

Sorry but I really don't see where you have real evidence that his attitude stinks!?
When he was faking a scouse accent in the training videos he was boss, when he's left out of a match and apparently wants to go to PSG, he doesn't want to be here? We literally only know what tabloids tell us, and by our active imaginations making stuff up from the videos.

Kean _ DCL _ RIchy actually look like a good frontline - if we were a club investing in young players and a sound coach.

Second chances are fine if we weren't talking about a financial asset. The problem is, off the back of his PSG stint, his value is almost certainly at the highest it will be for the duration of his contract here.

So by giving that second chance you're risking turning a £30-40m 'asset' into a £10m one, because he's looked an academy prospect at best in an Everton shirt so far.

For me, if we can get £30m approx, we have to sell.

Leaving aside his COVID breach and being late for training - both showing attitude and professionalism issues in their own right - it's not my "imagination" that he was sulking his tits off whenever he was on the pitch for us.

Riola the rat will have a deal set up to screw us.. only way we get Denzel is if we accept PSG offer of a Loan to buy at £25m plus add ons for Moise. He knows rightly we're hamstrung and blackmailing the balls off us.

Alternatively we take the risk that he has it in him to become a consistent 20 goal a season striker (a la Lukaku) in 3 years of development and exposure to regular football at a high level.

We sell him for £30m now to Roma and his price triples in 3 years and we are kicking ourselves aren't we - there is always a what if? with every decision. With a player this young it is always about risks. The easiest way out is to take the money and run - least effort, lowest risk but also low reward. The more difficult approach is to apply the time and resources to develop the player, give him exposure to first team football and as regular as you can afford to, and hope it clicks and he kicks on - highest risk, highest effort but also highest reward. Poch built a legacy at Spurs doing this.

Only the people who work with him day in day out on the training pitch will know what is the best way with Moise. I reckon there is something there though, from this distance
