It did seem like a decent signing at the time and I don’t recall too many people being unhappy with it. He just fell apart after half a season of good performances.

Definitely is just ‘one of them ones’ sadly.
Yeah loads, we’ve been collecting overpaid, unplayable and almost impossible to shift players like it’s going out of fashion the last few years. Brands will definitely have earned his keep if he can (permanently) shift a few in the summer.

He was amazing in his last season for Saints Frank, every game I watched he was utterly bossing it, best CM in the league for me that season.
Then he started like a train for us.
I did change it quite quickly in my defence.

Very very disappointed in what we got.
Thinking logically tho there was a reason united didn't play him.

My comment about it name was firmly tongue in cheek!
Hunger Frank, he lost it once he went to United, he dragged himself from League One to the Premier League, he got to United, got the dough and he flopped, he came here, saw it all far apart and just gave up, then the fans gave him a dogs life and its game over.
