Morgan Schneiderlin

IMO, the biggest problem we have is that this should have been a 'done and dusted' FAR before the window even opened. If we are at the point where there are issues like Witsel and people saying 'you can't give him an ultimatum', we need to move on fn fast. We are going to be down a man in 24 hours for up to 6 weeks. And it happens to be our best player this season. If Morgan decides he wants to wait, move on, get the next man on the list in ASAP.
I'm still to be convinced we are even in for him.

That said i think he would be a good fit for us.

I've just thought who Schneiderlin is like: Paul Scharner. He's about that class and worth. We need to be looking at considerably better players than this. Dont be fooled into thinking paying out daft money for this journeyman is a decisive move. It's just someone who'll come to us because he knows the manager and it's a big pay day he'd never get elsewhere after his United flop.

How would you feel about

Jordan Pickford GK
Jose Gimenez CB
Franck Kessie CM
Kasper Dolberg CF

Brand new spine of top class young players.

This has been hyped up since November but I can see it not happening at all. Surely the interest from WBA should be enough for us to start showing concrete interest rather than just paper talk?

I guess I'll be labelled a 'bed-wetter' or 'knee-jerker' here, but I was expecting a genuine 'out of the blocks' window this time.

If, as people will have us believe, Koeman realises the squad needs a major overhaul, and if Moshiri really is the real deal, then they'd have surely identified where we need to prioritise, who we want and then set about sealing the deal(s) as soon as the window flung open.

It's not as if we can afford the luxury of 'playing' the usual window skullduggery; our form is dire and, most worryingly, our best player by a mile is about to head to Gabon for a fair while. Thus, there has always been an absolute imperative to get things done right away - allegedly money isn't the issue, so there is no excuse for not having things lined up before Jan 1st.

If I'm my believe that Ron is less than impressed with the squad he inherited, I'd have expected him to be as frustrated as myself and the tens of thousands of fellow Blues and be itching to get his own nucleus together. Again, with money apparently no object it should have been a case of do it - just do it.

I fear this will be another frustrating window for us once again. Lookman will be done and I suspect one or two others, but I'm not getting the warm, fuzzy feeling that we'll see the kind of initial squad transformation that we're desperate to see.

If it's another case of, 'difficult to deal in January so we'll have to look the summer window' then I'm out. Enough will be enough.

"Nothing will be the same again".....

No manager on the planet can take a team from dross to quality overnight! Has Mourhino made ManU a quality side with the introduction of Ibrahimovic or Pogba. No, he has made them more consistent, and will now build on that platform to make them a quality side. Schneiderlin will help us become more consistent, as from what I see we only have idrissa Gueye who is remotely consistent at the moment! Therefore he would be a good signing?
