He's still that player, he was just misused by van Gaal (as was the entire United team, they were bloody dull as anything) and he's not been used at all by Mourinho. I bet the lad is desperate to get back to playing football every weekend.

Actually was just watching ESPN on-line and Steve Nicol (ex-Kopite defender) called him the best CM in the Prem during his last season at Southampton. When United picked him up, the fee was reckoned to be low by many.
