If we can sell a player we don't want surely that's a good thing?

Why would you sell McCarthy before some of the utter drudge in this squad, He's no world beater but he should be kept imo to rotate with Morgs and Gueye, Sell him and you have Barry as back up

If we buy Morgs and McCarthy leaves soon after alarm bells should start sounding

Quite reasonable logic to me, plus he will have moved down the pecking order again and maybe not prepared to sit on the bench.

The only way to keep the fringe younger players with us is to have them on the bench and give them some game time to see what they can do. We know what JM brings and Koeman obviously doesn't fancy it.

It doesn't necessarily mean to spend 22m we have to raise 13-15. We can't just stockpile players and expect them to be happy.

It's yes and no. I agree there are others who should be sold before McCarthy.

But realistically McCarthy is the only one people will actually want.

That would go back to selling someone actually worth selling though so the sell to buy thing is still there.

But look at it this way, we have that many poor players on our books, to improve our squad, that's exactly what has to happen. It may appear like sell to buy but it's basically a clear out. Out with the old, in with the new, improving as we go along.

I hope that's how it works out. I've made it very clear that I believe our current plight is due to the squad we have not the manager.

As it's Everton, well Bill, I always have the worries of old though.

Yes it's definitely the squad and the failures in the last window. We need to make strides forward from her on in and not tread water or nothing will change.
