But the thought of having to turn up week in week out to watch our current bunch of turds really depresses me so I want us to sign as many new players as we can asap.

I'd have to disagree, on the basis that Leicesters great run of form started from January onwards in season 2014-2015 which saw them gain some momentum which they were able to carry on into last season.
It's never too early to start winning!

We are not in the position to haggle over a couple of mil, we desperately need 3/4 players this window and as usual we are taking far to long to sort one deal.. The player seems like he wants to come, United want to sell, they have named their price which isn't at all unreasonably high, should have been done days ago.
Worrying to think how are we going to get a deal done for a player who needs to be convinced or with a club who doesn't want to sell when we make such heavy work over a transfer that has all the factors in our favour!

There is a middle ground in there somewhere. Remember when City first got bought? They were doing that, paying whatever it took. Didn't take long before they realised that everyone they approached was just doubling the price because City didn't haggle.

I disagree mate, get them in now and have half a season getting up to speed on players, managers tactics etc so we are ready to hit the ground running next. Otherwise we will leave the summer transfer window until the last few weeks and Koeman etc will be moaning there has not been enough time to bed them in.

Problem with that mate is the board (Moshiri) would just open themselves up to a load more scrutiny and doubt again amongst fans.
