Morgan Schneiderlin

World record transfer, 300m spent, and boasting about not finishing below 6th, what a time to be alive for a manc...

Barely scraped through your semi against hull, got gifted a robbery against saints.

Below a arsenal team who are screaming for the managers head for underperforming.

Looking forward to mourinho playing for a draw again against us mate, all that money and your two key players are both 35, your defenders are a joke, and you spent 90m on buying back an academy player that Ferguson rated so highly he let him walk for nothing.

Saf didn't let him go he rejected multiple new contracts.

Your actually two points off top 4 mate, and have a massively inferior goal difference to them too - 9 worse, so effectively 3 points in reality, your 4 behind 3rd place with similarly inferior goal difference behind city, and your postponed game us the away Derby which you'll 've lucky to get a point from.

As for schneiderlin, gea Vetter than the players you have there mate, nea what you reckon, as you rate Carrick - who I seem to recall was ripped to shreds by our loveable neighbours in last years embarrassing Europe exit

History is being rewritten. Schneiderlin was beyond poor for us that is why he was so readily shipped out. I haven't claimed he is a bad player but he never performed for us and as alluded to earlier I suspect its a personality issue.

Luckily we're loaded so our two key players being 35 isn't as daunting prospect as you'd imagine.

Lol re read this again. Have you watched us this season? I don't think we've played for a draw once. Especially at Home. Loool.

The world's most expensively assembled squad.

1 place above Everton.

Your best player is a 35 year old freebie.

Your all time top goalscorer is both an Evertonian and bought from Everton (whom you coached the talent out of IMO).

Let's not get carried away eh sunshine?

I don't get why it seems to be common practice on this forum to make fun of the fact our best player is Ibrahimovic? What's the logic there? How is that funny? If he leaves we'll get Griezmann. We aren't shopping at Lidl.

Mate seriously you are one place above us so I don't really get this "found his level" stuff.

I'm amazed you let him go. He's miles better than Carrick and Fellaini when deployed deep, as well as Pogba frankly. I like Herrera and think he's your best midfielder.

How much higher do you see United finishing than us? And since when does a prospective target of Griezman indicate being on a higher level?

Finally Rooney is your record goalscorer. He's your greatest ever striker. Let it sink in for a moment while you try to use him as a bargaining chip to prove your superiority.

I'm all for different fans perspectives but let's cuts the nonsense out. Firstly it's not pleasant. Secondly you've got no basis to make the claim of being on another level.

1St Rooney isn't our greatest ever striker he doesn't even make our best ever xi

2nd saying Schneiderlin is "miles" better than Carrick is pure football tribalism as Carrick ousted him out of a better team despite being his senior. I'm not even going to dignify your pogba comparison with a response as it's pure baiting.

Why wouldn't United's record goalscorer make their best XI?

Stopped listening to the plastic Manc as soon as he said they were unbeaten in all comps since October. Might want to ignore the Hull game but dubious penalty or not they won that game.

United are massively underperforming this season and their midfield set up has been one if the main reasons for this.

Schneiderlen brings such good balance to our team.

He's your greatest ever goalscorer mate. He has to be in the conversation surely. Either way it seems a bit of an odd thing to use as evidence that you're on a different level to you. We are looking to sign United and England leading goal scorer so are a level below.

Carrick in his pomp was a very good midfield player. I think where United are you needed big players and a calming head. The way Mourinho plays, without a huge pre-requisite for legs in midfield suits Carrick. I can see why he picked him, but I have to be honest I'm surprised Schneiderlin wasn't one of the first names on the team sheet. I thought he could have done a Matic type job for you.

I saw him and United boss Everton in a way few have over the last 10 years at Goodison last season (ignoring our breakdown at the end of last season). He was top draw as was Herrera. That was the best midfield performance I'd seen from two players at Goodison from an opposing midfield, right when we were flying they completely neutralised us. I'm not basing it just on his performances for us, but also what I'd seen that day and others. I will take your point though that he probably wasn't showing that form consistently enough. He can't have been, because if he was he would have been undroppable.

This leads to the Pogba point though. There's a lot of bitterness, I couldn't care less how much you spent on him and I feel for the lad, as he's like a 30 million pound player who's under scrutiny. But be honest, has he performed at Herrera's level this season? I haven't seen him in the flesh much. When we played you in November Gueye got the better of him. I have seen him on TV and he looks like a talented player who needs to learn how to use it. I'm not baiting, at present I don't think he's performing as well as Schneiderlin is for us. He will go on to be a better player, but he's not there yet.

I think though, he is expected to play. There is something of a circus around United and his signing now. Fergusan would not have stood for his haircuts and emoji's would he? That game against Liverpool I really think would have been enough for him to be bombed out. Maybe it's me being needlessly nostalgic but I think United has changed post Fergusan as it probably had too. I preferred United under Fergusan. The focus was football and winning. He had no time for showboating. I think he'd have appreciated a Schneiderlin over a Pogba. Just as sometimes he played Phil Neville in midfield over Veron. Or Silva left wing.

To answer your original points off the pitch United are on another level to Everton. However off the pitch we remain quite close, as we have been for the last 3-4 years. Greizman will be a great player and a wonderful signing but the most valuable thing Fergusan had at United was humility and hard work. The whole Pogba affair smacks me of neither. I would fear that far more than any signing you could make.

Either way I appreciate Schneiderlin. He's doing great for us while your midfield are performing well for you, so everyones happy.

Horrendous post. Generally horrendous pal.

Good post I'm not going to respond to points made as had a long day and have to revise. But let's end it here as we'll go back and fourth.
