Went with Guns and Roses as more overrated than the Stones.

The Stones at least have a few alright songs but I can't bear Axl Rose the fat tithead.

That U2 didn't make the poll makes it all complete void IMO.

Ah U2’s 80s stuff is good. No one is going to pick up for them because bono is a bellend.

He does some good work though. They lost me after War. Totally sold out.

U2 have churned out enough bangers to not be the most overrated band in the world. Pride alone is enough to see to that. Just because a band tails off at somepoint shouldn't mean we dismiss the sterling work that they have done.

Rubber Soul my favourite

Its an interesting one Rubber Soul as its kind of where the two versions of the Beatles meet in the middle.

I still find it a bit mad that their journey from Please Please Me to Let It Be and everything that came in between took place in a mere 7 years.

These people you dismiss are top level, known the world over, respected, musicians who know their subject inside out! (unlike you).

You 'think' they are garbage. The fact is, they are not. That is borne out by the music they produced. By their respective abilities on their instruments, and the other instruments they played. By the quality of their compositions. By their arrangements of said compositions. By the harmonies used in said compositions. I don't like everything they did, but it is not all garbage. To say it is displays a complete lack of knowledge and understanding of the different layers involved in their music.

The general definition of over-rated simply means not as good as they have been given credit for. Sorry to disappoint your opinion, but that is definitely not the case the world over, from when they were in existence up to present, and not just from popular music people either. I can post stuff up if you don't believe me.

It's not overstating to say The Beatles revolutionised the music scene. Someone today who only likes new music may not like their songs but you couldn't say they are overrated due to the influence they had. But they did do some great songs and so many in relatively short timeframe.

Everything you've posted proves otherwise.

A band has to be very highly rated by some to be deemed over rated by others. I sot in the 'others' category and I think the Beatles were terrible.
