I guess you saying they are overrated has some merit based purely on the fact that they are widely regarded as the best band ever.

Solsbury Hill is an amazing moment in music history. In the Air Tonight is a soundtrack to Miami Vice.

A band has to be very highly rated by some to be deemed over rated by others. I sot in the 'others' category and I think the Beatles were terrible.

You're clearly a fan, that's coming across pretty clear. It's ok to enjoy poor music. Many artists have made a good living out of it.

Calling bands like Nirvana and The Beatles overrated is just so wrong. Yes I used them in the same sentence. Both absolutely flipped the music industry on it's head in their own way. Perhaps you don't care for their music, and that is your prerogative, but to rate them as overrated is just wrong. Both bands in their time changed music forever.

I mean calling Black Sabbath overrated is entirely wrong. Maybe you don't like their music and that is fine, but they are one of the founders of a genre of music ffs.
