They took all the worst bits from indie music and made a living out of it. Can’t stand them, frauds.

I remember reading an interview with them and the singer was laying into Moby, saying he was talentless and his songs were pretty much worthless because they're not played on real guitars made of real wood and you couldn't sit on a real wooden barstool in a real pub made of real wood and play them and he'd have no career longevity, obviously ignorant of the fact that he'd been in the punk band Flipper in the '80's and that he'd been a relatively big name in electronic music since the early days of the rave scene. Cretin.

AJFA had garbage production which ruined it. Everything since the Black Album has been terrible.

Mate go back a few pages where I note Newsted being almost eliminated. AJFA is their peak though. Ride and Puppets were perfect building blocks.

The Black Album was the sell out.

Everyone from the era claims the Beatles were their muse so you can't argue with that. I don't particularly like them but then again it's not my era. I really don't get the Sgt Pepper album being the psychedelic flagship though, there is some real dross on it imo.

Their music is brilliant. Kurt being murdered by his spouse was always going to draw a lot of attention, but they’d already produced some very good songs.

Nirvana were a really important band at the time and did influence lots of other bands but they couldn't really play. Kurt was a rubbish guitar player.

Radiohead and Arcade Fire are two of the most overrated.

Don't know any Acarde Fire stuff. Radiohead will go down as front runners in several musical genres, always changing one album is never the same as the other. I love them and hate them at the same time. Sign of a great band to me.
