Is 18 million enough? That's definatly paying over the odds considering he's never proved himself outside of Portugal.

If it was a choice between Fernandes(6 million) and Moutinho(18 million) I'd pick Fernandes any day of the week to be honest.

Who knows? There's been alot of speculation that where skint but at the end of the day there only rumours. I think we'll have around 25-30 million to spend.

I think we need 3 midfielders. A defensive midfielder, an all rounder and an attacking midfielder. Maybe Moyes is looking to get Moutinho(18 million), Fernandes(Loan/6 million) and M'Bia(4 million).

Agreed, if it was around 12-15 million then I'd go for him. Personally I don't think he's worth 18 million nor would I expect us to pay that.

I'm expecting 4/5 players to come in the transfer window. One back up keeper, backup defender and two or three midfielders.

If we could get Fernandes, Moutinho and M'Bia in for around 25-30 million I'd be made up. Then three plus two loans (backup keeper and centre half) would be excellent.

The midfield is the only position we are lacking in. We have enough strikers and defenders.

Having Cahill injured for some matches last season, we can say that we didn't keep a single midfielder that held his place for most of the season.

Moyes has done a lot of progrssion over the last few years building the squad little by little. This year he'll have to bring more players than we're used to. And more important, he'll have to sign players to play straight away, since we didn't hold on to any midfielder.

Nor i on the Johnson front mate, i think Bent has more about him as an all round striker, and has more years ahead of him then AJ, i was thinking of more or less a straight swap, like 10 mill for AJ - 10 mill for Bent, anything beyond id leave it!

I think we will get Fernades on a year long loan with a view to a permenent, Mounthino, A def midfeilder possibly Mbia, but i would like a young centre half like Beevers or someone!

Yeah, but money won't buy you link play. It takes time to get it.

So by losing the players that should be the heart and brain of our side, we'll be losing places in the starting grid for the new season.
