Moving to Liverpool

Ah okay, it was over 3 years ago since we got our mortgage so I did wonder if it had changed.

That way does seem daft, I’ve never rented but when people pay £850 for rent but aren’t able to get a mortgage worth £400 a month!

Aye, its a bit mad. All they do for renters is a credit check.

I mean the average family home down here must be £400,000. But young families dont have £150,000 ish incomes. Sommet will give one day. Has to. We are running out of widows and widowers selling a home for £700,000 that they bought for £18,000 50 years ago.

Mate I live in Norfolk, can’t be as Tory as this place😂

I was just kidding. Some really nice places in the South of the city. Some areas are quite pricey. Decent areas for a night out without venturing into town and some nice parks.

Depends on what you are looking for in terms of apartment/house and outdoor space etc.

Merseyrail network is decent and I appreciate being close to a station.

Being within 30mins of city centre woeful eh good enough for me.

House or flat, whatever I can afford really. I’ve never lived in a massive house so I’m not too bothered about having loads of space. And as I say, I’ll be living alone at first too. Just parking will be needed, not too bothered about a garden.

Yeah being close to a station would be handy too!

I’m not sure how many multiples of your wage it is for mortgages anymore.

But I’m on c. £30k a year, no loan & a top credit score.

Place I’m in currently is likely to sell for £235k ish, but ‘profits’ (likely to be £40k total) will be split in half
Sound, well you’ll be looking at between £200k to £350k depending on the type of houses. But they always old the price and due to the area will always increase

And P.S. anyone tells you to go north end just ignore them. They don’t have greenery up there and class a top end restaurant as Macdonalds

If you`re into class A`s, American Bully XL`s and moto cross bikes with no reg plates, the North End is deffo the place to live.

Nice one, I’ll get looking as everyone seem to be saying South Liverpool is best.

If I’m not within a walking distance of a McDonald’s I’m not moving😂
