Moving to Liverpool

I`d throw Fallowfield in there too, or East Didsbury as they`re now calling it lol

It`s benefited from the ripple effect of Didsbury.
Fallowfield can get a bit wild on weekends, lots of students around there and things can/do get a bit giddy.
Didsbury, east or otherwise is okay.

Depending upon your price bracket for housing... look at Urmston, Flixton, Sale, Timperley, Chorlton, Didsbury.
Chorlton is its own little microcosm area, really friendly, very diverse ethnically, loads of decent eateries... and well connected via bus or metro to the city centre.
Thank you, I’ll give them all a look over. Have stayed in Sale before actually, seemed a nice place, train station nearby, shops etc

I used to work around there, Sale, Flixton, Urmaston.

People were sound, a good vibe, felt safe and even though you are really close to Manchester centre, didn’t really feel like you were in Manchester ( if that makes sense )

So, personal circumstances have led me to have to have to look at getting my own place (currently still living with ex, house is going up for sale soon).

I’m currently living just south of Norwich and have always wanted to get out of the area and move north so this could be a blessing in disguise.

As a 24 year old single male, would you recommend moving to a Liverpool, or a city fairly nearby?

It’s a bit of a broad post… but I’d love to hear any thoughts and opinions on the areas to look at buying a property (looks like a shared ownership mortgage is the best option), if jobs are easier to come by in certain places, how you find the cost of living there and any other information you feel would be helpful.
I left Liverpool to develop my career - missed the people - the price value of the area is not a guide, research local knowledge before moving to an area plus an area that's most convenient for you financially.....

What are the roughest areas in Liverpool?

The most incidents happened in 'Hub Four,' an area which covers the city centre, Toxteth, parts of Edge Hill, Wavertree and Aigburth

Ignore the comments about the south of the city, it is full of criminals and not safe.
