Moyes HAS to do something big

I agree with Zatara, signings like Zaha are the way to go. However, I think Moyes will go for Donovan/Dempsey and I for one, would love them both. I think we could challenge for top 4 quite easily in that scenario even if they are older. I agree with points made about age in this day and age of modern football. We could sign 4 younger players and all of them could 'flop' meaning our 'resale value' argument doesn't prove valid at the end of that cycle. Look at what we got for Yakubu and Yobo despite signing them at reasonable ages.
 
Having seen Hazard play a few times now, I don't rate him that highly. Any signing is a risk. We shall all wait with baited breath as Moyes decides what to do over the next few weeks. Gonna be interesting.

IF we sign up a tricky winger who is good mates with our best player + has an ace name Kevin (almost unbelievable)....

Then also sign Niang who has apparently got enormous potential(when do we sign big named young foreigners)


My excitement for the season will have an enormous boost from when I started this thread.


Possibly the only downer I have is that Anichebe is still at the club.

moyes does exactly the same thing though. if you dont track back you're out. If you're under 20, the best you can hope for is the bench. he also has his own philosophy that the 4-4-1-1 formation is the only way, no matter what the score is he wont change it. it's not always a great thing that the manager has his way and is stubborn to change this view

That is such a (suit your own agenda/opinion) Terrible statement I've ever seen!

Just because you dont play 2 strikers Does not mean ur stuck on 4-4-1-1 and won't ever change it... He's cleary played different variations 4-2-3-1. He's also brought 2 strikers on when we'v been chasing games... Vic and beckford being most recent. Teams DON'T play 4-4-2 ffs. The closet u get is 4-4-1-1 but with the 1 behind being a more attacking player than cahill!!

As for youngsters as much as I rate Barkley for the future.. We havnt had any youngsters good enough to command a first team place since Rooney left! However I imagine you will throw back vellios who is prob going out on loan and the mighty SHEFF WED want him.. No pl clubs btw..
