I will ask this question, what are you suggesting "We" do, when I say "We" I mean Moyes.

A -- Use the Rodwell money to sign 2 young wide midfielders. This completes our midfield and enables Pienaar to move into the centre if necessary -- names linked being Phillips / Ince and Fetfatzidis (who i've not seen play but these players are an example)

B --Sell one of Jagielka or Heitinga before they hit 30. use the money to sign a young ball playing centre back who in the future would be able to play alongside Duffy in defence....if we do this now then they will have time to establish a good understanding with one another.

C -- I like him but Sell Coleman....and Anichebe. Use this cash to sign a player such as Zaha or Moses (who of course is most likely going to Chelsea -- again just examples)....

D -- Integrate Bidwell and Garbutt as backup to Baines / Pienaar on the left flank + Barkley and Duffy given more gametime.


We would still have enough experience in the squad and would possibly even save on wages too.

I'm pretty sure a one year contract is a hint towards retirement.

More likely we wouldnt offer him a 2 year deal due to his age.....if he still has it in him id expect another year.

However you're probably right and He and Neville will be off next summer.

What if they actually got it right here though lads, if we actually improve and put in 38 games top form - bag a trophey and are competitive for the CL.

Arent people always moaning that we never risks, cashing the chips in on Cahill and Rodwell are big calls, risks - lets role the dice see who we get in (an we will) beofre we say the lcub is on fire.

I always have to laugh i hear the club is on the brink every year, thats going on about 25 years now.

would love that but it's not going to happen with Moyes. Hate to admit it but I quite like Rodgers and the way he wants to play - if you don't fit the system you're out. His best players last season where all young.
