Martinez is even worse. His records speak for himself. I prefer Laudrup if the choice is from those two.

Yep I agree, even with my thoughts on laudrup that doesn't mean out of our supposed short list I don't think he's the best candidate, he most probably still is and wouldn't not want him or be dissapointed with hiring him....

It's just....he ain't on the level of mouriniho's ect which some seem to bill him as.

Also personally I would rule him out due to the massive comp. I don't think he's worth blowing all the money on.

Perieira agent was in London and told Bill he wanted Everton job. Bill said he wanted to speak to other candidates as he wasnt sure Perieira was the right man for the job. Periera now set to sign new deal at Porto. Told you not to get your hopes up WAS always gonna be Martinez or internal

Yeah I agree mate we just won't blow £5-10m on Laudrup. Quite a big risk and we will get a new manager on free surely.

This is true I reckon.

Timelines thar make sense

December: Fergie decides to retire, after sister in law dies, to be with wife. Everton alerted. Pereira invited to Goodison as guest.

Moyes and Pereira don't sign new contracts at their clubs

March: Fergie makes final decision. Moyes agrees to join United. Pereira agrees pre-contract agreement. Moyes takes eye off ball discussing United contract (and probably doesn't take training) as Everton lose 3-0 to Wigan. Pereira said to be "unhappy" with treatment by Porto board.

May: Fergie retires. Moyes installed in no time. Pereira finishes season and.. Everton string it along until Martinez makes a decision to create impression of having a few candidates to consider and interview internally. Throw a few smokescreens like "Neville interested". Neville waiting to consider future as possible assistant if all falls into place.

Moyes takes over early at United with Everton manager already chosen. Backroom staff at United and Everton mostly retained.

Agree with that and makes sense, apart from see no need to throw in moyes taking eye off ball, doesn't take training and we lose
3-0 to Wigan? (Think that just fits your agenda)

No more 2nd luck Billy Liar. If he appoints the wrong person and we get bad results by December, fans will turn on him.

I believe that you know the square root of nothing......you have a head full of nothing of note to add to this discussion except for your own made up ideas. Sorry if that offends but NOBODY knows anything for sure .

HANG ON. Pre contract agreement? Agents in talks? Yet Porto still offer a contract to the Manager, after them clearly having agreed to allow him to talk to us. Sounds suspiciously of tapping up to me. In which case, of course Kenwright is going to dismiss the pre-contract verbal agreement, as if it wasn't underhand, it surely would've been put on paper.

ITS ON FFS!!!

All we know for certain is that we are interested in Pereira, and that Pereira is interested in us. I feel as if we are interested in Martinez, but I don't think that is being reciprocated.

It's Pereira or internal I reckon. You won't ever get a clearer indication of where Bill sees this club going than this decision.

Billy wants:

1. A Yes man.
2. Mid PL level (manager) wages.
3. No fee involved; on a free.
